What people need to realize is Kamaru would do much better if he was prepared to grow his body into a true 185er. Khamzat literally mandhandled him in the 1st round. Kamaru striking was really good but the wrestling part killed him big time during the fight. He wasnt expecting Khamzat to be that strong

I think the change to 3 rounds after so many 5 round fights hurt him a little bit too. He was fighting like he had time to spare for most of the fight even after he clearly lost round 1.

khamzat also had a hand injury in the first round. There were so many changes after rd 1 to takedown that he wasn’t able to go for. imo the rest of the fight would’ve been like the first
