ANGKOR WAT HAVE 5 GATES: SOUTH GATE-connects Bayon to Angkor Wat/ NORTH GATE- Victory Gate- connects Bayon to Ta Prohm and Thommanon / WEST GATE/ EAST GATE- also known as “Gate of the Dead”. BAYON temple is the one you entered second this temple is dominated by towers with faces on every side. BAYON was also known as “ANGKOR THOM”- The king also resides inside it way2 back in those years. ANGKOR THOM is the last Capital City of the Great Khmer Empire. Built under the Rule of King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. You have passed on The Terrace of the Elephant that is at the back of the Temple.

I remember I used to climb the stair to the top of Angkor wat when I was a kid, back then they allow you to step on the temple stairs. there was only one handrail on the way up, on the way down you have to be careful on your own, but the stairs were very steep and it was so high, so I froze and I cried not being able to get down. I was comforted by a lady, she made me face the stair and get down one step at a time. It was scary
