About 20 years ago, I was sick, and was in hospital for a month. And when I came back home, I had two movies on DVDs, which a friend of mine had bought and given to me before I went to hospital. One was Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, the other was Vertigo. I watched both many times, and they were an immense help in my recovery.

Great list! My 1-2 is Mr. Smith Goes To Washington and Meet John Doe. Although It’s A Wonderful Life is amazing too. Too many good films

Thank you for your eloquent tribute to this great director! I would have snuck Arsenic and Old Lace in the top 10 (near the bottom), but otherwise you matched my Capra love film for film! Small Capra touch -- in It's a Wonderful Life, Capra wouldn't rehearse Jimmy and Donna in the telephone scene, so it would be fresh. Got it the first take! MACA! (Make America Capra Again)

Wow! The transcript is superb - NOT! Capra is cpra, then Kraa or was it kr*p 💩 Smyrna Loy Mir Aloy Gotta love it!
