I am a 49er fan and I love this guy, that said, he transcends the lines drawn by fan bias and the competitive nature of the sport. Frank Gore is a man, not an idol, and yet it's hard not to look at him and think his presence makes the world a little better. He sets an example for us all to strive for. Yeah, how can anyone hear this guy's story and not love him for the man he is. When Frank finally retires, he will have left everything he had on the field, no regrets, and certainly no shame. Frank Gore is a man, and I, for one, am damn glad he didn't give up.

Frank Gore may be the most underrated player in NFL history. As a 49ers fan I've been watching him my entire life, and even on some pretty tragic teams he was absolutely incredible. I watched him run for 1,600 yards in 2006 on a 7-9 team with a young Alex Smith as his QB. He was always a class act, obviously a great guy, and his longevity is such an inspiration. If he isn't a first-ballot HOFer then we need a new electorate.

My favorite part was when Barbara from Shark Tank says to the Bills owner "who is that number 20? He's my size." 😁😂 In all seriousness though as a life long niners fan Frank Gore is my favorite running back ever. Such a hard working and humble guy who commands a ton of respect around the league. Early in his prime he took on almost the entire workload for the offense. Unfortunately, those were some bad 49ers teams. 2006 in particular was quite impressive. He had close to 140 yards from scrimmage a game! All of this while opposing defenses had no other objective than to stop him, and he faced a ton of 8 and 9 man fronts. It was so much fun to watch him methodically take his time at the line of scrimmage and squirt through small openings to daylight on the other end. The man is currently only 15 yards away from 20,000 career yards from scrimmage! Only behind the goat Jerry Rice, Emmett, and Walter. I know people say it took him a long time to achieve those numbers but his career longevity in itself should be a huge accomplishment in the modern time. Bruce Smith said it best, "there's a place for him in Canton" for sure!

Gore is an eighth wonder. Let’s all take in that he plays the position with the shortest shelf life in the game, has been playing and been effective for 15 years and this is all only after he tore both ACLs in college. Insanity.

Frank Gore made me an NFL fan. Watching him bust some hard runs up the gut and stay on his feet was and still is dome of the best sport to watch. Keep on running, Frank. 🏃‍♂️

This man will retire when he’s forced to, kinda like jerry rice. Until he can’t play no more. What a beast.

I met Frank Gore back in 2006 at Lefty's Sports Card Store, I was in awe of him back then and still to this day. My favorite 49ers player even though he hasn't been with the team for a few years. Keep on running, brother, and hopefully you get to retire second or first on the All-time Rushing list.

Not many people can get the tough 4 yards. He does it. He ran for 100 yards against the bears when he was with the fins. He ran 100 yards against the pats defense last year. Dude is a monster and does everything right.

Gore is gonna make the hall, he might not have been at the top in his career but he is the personification of grit and hard work. That’s something that deserves to be enshrined in the hall.
