When I first started to take guitar lessons, one requirement was to listen to Frank Marino's first live album.

The pedals Rock. I own all 3. So sad to hear Franks having problems playing I was praying he could at least do some recording. I love to even hear his pop stuff.

Tim Biery was my # 1 drummer that I saw live. Even though I am more into the guitar hero thing. And the songs and singer of course.

The psychedelics is evident in Franks style The spiritual belief also had a great deal of input in his songwriting but people who took drugs got into Mahogany Rush n who went to his concerts Yeah I still dig his heavy style of playing n I'm clean sober now And that's how a true artists stays in demand it's someone's soul yer hearing which lives on forever. Thank God. Amen❤

For me a new insight into this mans thoughts and history on his catalogue and approach to the 'business'. Very interesting interview so thank you for that. Especially he's not into modern media. I appreciate his reflections on his own past and future. I bought the Live at the Agora theater. What a brilliant guitarplayer and singer. Thanks for all the music Frank!

I think Frank's youthful playing, playing fast, etc, was as he said an expression. And I don't think anyone captured YOUTH as well as frank. Though it wasn't intentional at all. It was just his feeling, his form of expression at the time. Like, how can I outdo myself? Hmm. well, when you're young you can do that. But then you evolve into other things. The tone, the sound, the message. Not a freaking sports contest.

I'd like to hear Jimmy Ayoub's take as he left before the greatest album in my opinion. But Paul stuck with Frank through that grueling tour and then it was a while. I wonder what he said. And how are they today? I am certainly glad that Frank's health is weal enough for this long interview.

You were a Stevie Wonder...as being young, very youthful when a record company picked up on your talent. You went away from it, the business after the blistering LP Juggernaut and the long, (You came through Chicago 3 X's on it.../I saw you twice on it.. Lucky me) tour that followed. And then you walked away. I think Frank was very tired as he played 4-5 other guitarists during his last solo bit in 1985 at the Metro in Chicago in April. I saw him 3/3 in 83 not that long after the beginning of the tour. And then poof. Both were killer shows. Unfortunately the recorded show in Chicago in 11/93 was nowhere as good as the other two. I have the masters from the 3.3. show at the Park West. I saw him 4 times after until 2000.
