Ive met Rivera before, he used to come spar at my local gym. Guy has probably one of the hardest jabs i’ve ever seen and he did not implement it at all in this fight

Frank has amazing footwork, great angles, stamina, a very active jab, and he works the body. Frank martin is a problem for sure.

Idk about amazing. Really good footwork, sure, but not amazing. His angles aren't that impressive. I think if he can adjust his angles and footwork to where he can find those windows for more effective and efficient strikes, he would be alot more proficient. A guy with his build, stamina, and power shouldve put away rivera away within 3 rounds

I watched the fight live on tv and this is my first time seeing the highlights. It was drastic enough watching it live but these highlights are literally like watching a bee swarm around an opponent. Rivera had absolutely no idea what to do. He couldn't process the information fast enough.

You can clearly see that he improved his defensive skills since his previous fights. He was very impressive on this one : speed, defense, power. If he continue on this way, he will do a lot of damage in that division. I want to see him fight with bigger fighters now.

Martin did an amazing job on keeping his lead foot outside of Rivera’s and his double jab and stab to the body was on point to. He definitely deserves to be in the talks with other 135 lbs fighters.

Frank has a lot of stamina, I feel like Rivera should slow down and peep a perfect shot instead of trying to go franks past and also he should stand taller rather then getting low all that’s doing is helping frank get a better shot

Frank Martin made it difficult for Rivera to hit him given that rivera had the height and arm range advantage. I am sure Martin is about to change the narrative at both 135 to 140 he is technically solid exciting to watch too

Mann the crowed had Rivera feeling some type of way. I was ring side listening to everyone talk hella shit to Rivera and clowning him. I think that got into his head during the fights cause the crowd was showing no mercy for Rivera 😂. The people in the crowd were only there for Frank, Rivera had nobody in the crowd cheering for him.

Frank is a heck of a fighter but with questionable power, and instincts to finish. Frank pull counter is solid and but has a habit posing in a defensive shell leaning backwards it’s like a half Philly shell and got him caught with clean straight right hands.Frank will get smoke by Shakur Stevenson respectfully.

I was watching the fight and I noticed that too until I called out how he was trying to set up the uppercut and hook combination and he did afterwards it’s also how he can pivot out the way but I think Shakur vs Frank is even I’m leaning more to Martin cause Shakur has a habit of keeping his chin up and leaving his body open and Frank will attack that body not to mention is crazy quick on his feet

First off this tells me that you have never boxed or dont know much, you dont always have to go for the finish, Frank was in control of the whole fight and thats all he needed, he outboxed rivera like it was nun and thats a good resume win, he doesnt have "questionable power" he has power hence why he got a knockdown and the fight before this he stopped his opponnet, sounds to me like you bet on rivera and lost

Jesus , Rivera forgot the #1 rule when facing a southpaw. KEEP YOUR LEAD FOOT OUTSIDE THEIR LEAD FOOT! He pivoted into Martins left hand giving him free power punches more times than I can count. Very good fighters hope to see more of them. Rivera polishes up could be a problem

Shakur's is too. Some of the slick boxers these days like the wide stance because they can control range really well with it and take smaller steps to disengage. You have to have a good grasp of distance control to do it though
