I was 16 when this song came out. I was partying a lot and doing a lot of coke and having a lot of sex. I wanted to be numb. This song played constantly. It reminds me of partying until the sun comes up. Things being so beautiful and endless possibilities at night time and then when the sun comes up and the birds start chirping things start getting real and sad and the high wears off and things get bad and hopeless. In the night time the life felt so different then it did when the sun came up during the day. This time in my life was The beginning of my addiction. I’m 13 months clean now, and 25.
