Before my Dad died, we sang this together. It was our theme song as we grew older. He passed at 94-years-young, I was 64. I also played "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind and Fire for him. The music lives as he lives in my heart.

@Paula, Now you made me think about my grandpa. This is what happened to me when my grandpa died, some hours later,after my grandpa died. Never will forget this. Went to the bar that night to have a few drinks, and to think about the funeral arrangements and my grandpa while growing up, working in the garden with him, watching Tv like the old Bonnie and Clyde and gangster movie's with him, and with my siblings, etc...And that night they had karaoke at the bar and that night someone sang Grandpa from the Judd's.

My sister purchased tickets for this show for my beloved Mom and Dad. They took the train from upstate ny to the city. This song had my dad just about bawling. It was near the end of his life, and I still thank my sister Kate today for doing this for my dad. This guy was his absolute favorite.

you'll regret it. Every decade has its own problems to be dealt with. Escaping from 2024 doesn't mean you will land in a carefree world. Just because music that fits your taste were produced in the 70's doesnt mean you'll like living in that decade. Trust me I'm speaking from experience, be grateful to the wonderful things you have. The things you are privilaged to in a modern world.

I would only do that if I knew what I knew now. There were a lot of things I went through I would not want to repeat. Not everyone had a great experience growing up. Sometimes the past is better left in the past. KZfaq brings the past to us for a brief moment and that is enough for me.

My dad passed this morning and with great sadness I listen to Sinatra. If I would have gotten married before you left Dad I Would have dance this song with you. Grandfather used to listen to this song months before he passed away, dad showed me this song a few months ago and he's 70. This song for some reason kind of allows me to understand their lives and I plan to show this to my son the day I realize the same thing my father and grandfather have...
