The great 50s Sinatra emerging in this unheralded '52 movie Meet Danny Wilson. His singing career skyrocketed two years later recording at Capitol.

of course he had problems with his vocal cords, which led to his unbelievable career with Capitol, and then his own Reprise ........my late mom saw him at her HS prom, high voice, they swooned like Gail Klein indicates below :-D

@@gailklein9020 If you think so then just wait until you listen to this one. I was blown away when I heard this for the first time, my dad and brother were as well. I had no idea Sinatra was so incredible earlier in his career. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLqfobOmp6qxdok.html

He was way more smooth here in 1943. I know, right? How is that even possible. But yes this is perhaps one of the best performances of his career kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLqfobOmp6qxdok.html

Frank sings this much better than the 1961 version because his voice isn't so good on that version

@@taddeot9252 I think both your perspectives make sense. Frank early on had a more technically great voice, but his phrasing carried him through for a really long time after.

@@nurmister : His voice was strong throughout the fifties and into the sixties. It was really in the '70s that the ability to stretch notes and bend notes started to waver and his relied more heavily on phrasing rather than vocal prowess. Up till then he had both working for him. I'm thinking of his vocal ability on "I Have Dreamed" or "There Are Such Things" in the early sixties, which show he could still handle the big notes.

@@nurmister Absolutely agree with your assessment, peak Sinatra in terms of vocal ability was between 1942-1946
