The song always stood out in the movie for me. This is the first time I've heard it as a band, most excellent, Frank can sing. Oh, by the way, Norm's Rare Guitars brought me here.

Love the groove to this version. Still such an iconic tune. When it played at the start of Rocky Balboa was just awesome and did exactly what the title said it would do..

I enthusiastically concur, succo di cervello! 1977 was definitely a banner year for the world of entertainment--be it film, television, or music! Sadly, it was also a tragic year, because we lost Freddie Prinze ("Chico And The Man"), Elvis Presley (coincidentally, he died forty years ago today), Gummo and Groucho Marx (they died within four months of each other), Bing Crosby, and three members of the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd (lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and back-up singer Cassie Gaines [Steve Gaines' sister]).

Freaking awesome band. I'm only here because of the movie. I buzz every time I hear the vocals. The falsetto from the backing vocals got me in the groove. Back in the days where music and vocals gelled and meant something. Love it

What was I thinking back then -- I thought Ambrosia recorded this. I always knew, though, that Frank Stallone didn't just appear out of nowhere and record songs (great songs!) for the Stayin' Alive soundtrack. Such an amazing voice, wonderful talent and handsomeness!

Frank, Frank, Frank, just one day I'd like to be sitting there watching you sing live -- with or sans guitar. Just to be there and pretend you're singing to only me! You rocked back then, and you still do. I used to be a NYer, but here's a big hug and respectful kiss from "Joissey"!
