I never heard of Frankie lymon, or The teenagers until today. I was searching for 50s music/ideas for Halloween and came across all of his music. Wow...your generation had the BEST music. I'm a new instant fan of him and the group!

Im glad my parents had a chance to hear about him...he was 3 years older than my father and 4 years older than my mother. It funny how he was so energetic before he went solo...how can anyone introduce drugs to a 15 year old ....I love Frankies voice....he was truly gifted!!!!

I have been listening to Frankie Lymons's voice for about 53 years, and it still amazes me...... I found a 6 CD set thru one of my record collector catalogs about 5-6 years ago that had all thes Paladium songs on it, what a discovery. My favorite " Out in the Cold Again, was his, AND the Teenagers best...Frankie Lymon, a talent never surpassed...

What a beautiful voice he had. Makes me so sad that he never reach his full potential. True talent.

I am always captivated by Lymons voice. I had one of his & the teenagers "best of albums", the year was 2006 & I was then 16 & I listened to that album a great bit. Fine singing. To have found these songs that were unknown to me is a true blessing. Lymons voice is so clear & superb; pitch perfect.

Omg he was so blessed, I love his music n angelic voice, he shared his gift for the time god allowed him to be on this earth n of this cruel world, so many great singers passed tragically sam Cooke billy Holliday n many others. I am a 70's baby but always was drawn to fifties music.

I've been a Frankie Lymon fan since I first heard the Teenagers sing "Why do Fools Fall in Love" on a thumping Wurlitzer juke box at the corner of Avenue K and Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn in the fall of 1955 when I was an eight grader at PS 99. I saw them at the Brooklyn Paramount and Brooklyn Fox at Alan Freed's shows along with the Cleftones, Flamingos, Heartbeats, Valentines, etc. I wish all of you could have had that same experience, but at least we all can enjoy his incredible talent today. I remember playing his records on my scratchy 78 rpm player back then, and with the fidelity so much better today, can enjoy them even more.

I would have love to have heard him with Count Basie, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughn, Quincy Jones, Gil Evans and so many others he could have collabarated with if his management would have helped his career better. It seems they were more concerned about keeping their pockets full and filling him up with drugs which ultimately killed him. He was one of the greatest singers to have ever lived and always will be!

.Frankie should never left the Teenagers.And kelp singing songs that his teenagers fan base could relate to. Instead the producers try to make Frankie Lymon a little Nat King Cole singing more adult ballad songs which the youth of the 50's was not into.They wanted Rock & Roll songs.Plus Frankie Lymon drug use didn't help either..But hearing these songs today do sound good.But the money hungry producers should of let Frankie Lymon grow into more adult songs as his voice got deeper and older.

This is a fantastic collection. I just had the thought, could a young Michael Jackson have covered these songs? The case can be made that he would've been close because well--in my view, he sang some of the Delfonics songs just as good if not better than Pugee like Can you remember, and Ready or Not, BUT--- Would young Michael even belong in the same room as Frankie Lymon? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this one.. Listening to more and more of Frankie, I am beginning to think Frankie was better, but I am not 100% on that yet. I always believed he had a great voice for standards. Here’s the proof.

Why did they break up the teenagers then take Frankie, a teenage Idol famous for rock and roll and dance to give him these adult contemporary standard's Nat King Cole type songs to sing. This is why they couldn't get him off the ground once he left the teenagers. As nice as the songs are he should have stuck to his roots with the teenagers played it out till the end.

Whose the Guy on The Left. Is it one of The Everly Brothers. I'm sorry but I think that every single Boy Band or even K Pop Group should look at his Clips and think this was genuine talent.
