I miss SMILF so much!!! Watched the series a few times already and every time I wish there were more episodes. Convinced Frankie Shaw is a genius.

I loved this show! Rewatching it now I like watching it in the summertime love the 80s vibe she gives with her outfits, the attitude she carries & I cannot fathom why anyone gives this 1/10 on IMDB??! Rosie is amazing too!

The thing that I found so interesting about this show's cancelation was that she claimed it was the result of being a first-timer who "went from making short films in my basement to running a crew of over 215 people." I'm not sure how race-based separation in the writers' room, improper crediting/compensation, violating on-set discretion during a sex scene, and pressuring the same actress, who had a no-nudity clause, into doing a nude scene by pulling her into a trailer, pulling up her own shirt, and asking why nudity was an issue for them when it wasn’t one for her is a bit more than a first-timer mistake. The Seth Meyers interview where she attempted to clean up allegations isn't even on the internet anymore, you really gotta mess up for them to pull your apology.

I kinda think that if a man ever said on national TV that he dried his kid using paper towels that social services would get involved and say he's a bad parent. Maybe not, but you see where I'm going here. I am proud of this woman though... a single mom who had a great idea and a vision and turned her KZfaq short (or whatever it was) into a TV series. She inspires me. ;)
