The audio used in this score video appears to be the first recording of the piece. The piece was first published in 1905 (by Bosworth) but remained in obscurity until it was included in the ABRSM Violin syllabus from 2024.
The composer, Franz Drdla, was a Czech composer who studied in Prague and Vienna under Anton Bruckner. In later life, he performed around Europe and the US. He is arguably best known for his Souvenir (published in 1904) but composed around 250 other short pieces, most of which were for violin and piano.
