Here not performed by female choir and alto, but the preferred version for male choir and baritone. Nederlands Kamerkoor conducted by Michael Willens. Performed by a male voice, it is closer to the text. A young man, surrounded by his friends, sings at dawn, for his sweet heart.

I have looked for this piece for years I have a MIDI version but never heard a real performance as most Standchen versions are the one from the song cycle this is a real treat

Sort of perfect really...except the little kix with the piano at the end. But it's alright - it's a pianoforte...goes well with style. And it's live after all. Beautiful!
