You know, this show had a surprising amount of serialisation compared to other WB cartoons from the 90s. Sure, it wasn't anything massive but Gutierrez came back multiple times, Roddy became a recurring character after the S1 finale and even Steff learns Freakazoid's secret identity in S2. Compared to Animaniacs & Tiny Toon Adventures which had no serialisation whatsoever and Pinky & the Brain which only had Snowball (plus continuity errors going into the Elmyra season), it's kinda neat.

its a great show but I wouldn't go that far, it dates itself as often as most shows in the 90's did but Timeless or not, it is a great time capsule of humors past that, while shouldn't be forced like everyone who shakes a cane shouting "Things were better the way I remembered them!!" it still is a source of inspiration that could make modern humor even better since it was very ahead of its time too

i just finshed watching the whole series today and it was so damn good! Freakazoid was honestly one of my favorite cartoons from kidsWB back when i was a kid... even Freakazoid was one of my first childhood animated crushes XD it's such a shame that it only lasted 2 seasons! like serously??? the comedy in this show was so damn funny! we could've had a very good season 3 back then... but nope. it didn't happened. i honestly wanted to see Freakazoid use his telekinesis powers but sadly it only happened in this episode. still such an awesome show from Steven Spielberg 👏👏👏

It was really funny, yeah, but it was a very... bizarre show. And often put on in a weird timeslot. The creators apparently used to joke that "there's no Nielsen boxes in federal prisons."
