Documentary Now! with Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, moderated by Janice Min in partnership with The Hollywood Reporter’s TV Talks series.
Documentary Now! is IFC’s hit series co-created by the dream team of Seth Meyers, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Armisen, Hader, Meyers, Thomas, Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer and Alex Bueno. Season 2 debuts this September, hosted by Helen Mirren and featuring hilarious spins on classic docs ranging from Stop Making Sense to The War Room. Don’t miss the Season 2 premiere preview and the three of the brilliant comic minds behind the show - nominated for a 2016 Emmy for outstanding variety sketch series - when they stop by 92Y to discuss this delightfully off-the-wall project. The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment is co-presenting this panel with the 92nd Street Y as part of The Hollywood Reporter’s TV Talks series in recognition of the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting’s milestone 50th anniversary.

I have watched this so many times now! Seth is always really quick to pick up a joke but he doesn't do the voice because he knows Bill is so good at it, so he hands it over and when Bill makes a bit out of the joke Fred gets on the boat instantly because they're so in sync. It's wonderful to watch the close friendship here!

I liked how they clearly used a girl vocal to Bills Blue Jean Committee character... and just over and over they just say the most crafted wordplays and some things they say are nonsense but if you really read some quotes by "famous" people... esp "artists" who most times are not the brightest bulb and say things that just make it into the cultural quote fame and made into something that if you really had context would find that a writer or publisher who were going to the editor with this interview took what the artist said and seeing it was nonsense then tweaked it... run it by the artists manager to signoff on and had a much better story... which in the biz most stuff of legends... is made up and then adopted by other famous people as witnesses that can then place themselves into the legend and its value to their career... which is the joke they are most times just saying... hey yeah fame and all its trappings are nice but once someone takes themselves too serious it is the point where most should say ohh yeah... what I have is very very lucky and to just suddenly say I am not going to sell out or be artificial... when Hollywood and fame is actually arificial... that is when most actors or famous start the nosedive. Because if you get too big or become a pain in the ass... well they can also us that against you to feed the press and build up someone elses career and carpet bomb your oblivious ass...

Great interviewer. She let the guys have fun, and run with it, and took the jokes directed to her just light hearted. She never showed frustration with the bits, she probably was well prepared for this.

I appreciate the fact that she told the audience that these guys had been doing a huge amount of press all day. Junkets are hell for most people, and these guys were tired and stressed by the time they got here so it was kind of her to acknowledge how hard they were working.

The Doormen remains one of my favourite SNL skits ever. I get why it didn’t air but watching Fred and Bill laugh so hard is contagious.

Thank you for inviting them, 92Y, It's been one of the best interview. And special thanks to the host, I think she's doing really great job, letting the guests feeling free and willing to share more of themselves with the audience. For a host, it is definitely difficult keeping a low-key ego while interviewing these three charming and nice guests. Great job once again👍👍👍👍👍❤️

"One day you're gonna tell me you're sick and I'm just gonna laugh and be like 'ha ha, right!'". I have some friend dynamics like this and I wouldn't trade it for the world. People whose presence alone is enough to make you laugh.

Total opposite, i think he loves having it mentioned lol. Bill says that in a different video that seth loves it when ppl bring it up, i think bill and fred are just regretting that they're going to have to hear seth's ego get boosted for the next few minutes lol

Seriously, one of the reasons I LOVE "Documentary Now!" is because it celebrates movies that more people should see ... and can NOW see because of streaming sites like Netflix, Hulu, etc.
