The ovirginal bear take them which I own from 1970 and then later the magnesium one was always capable of interchangeing the limbs which now makes it sound like it's a feet that they've performed which is should be standard and I purchased limbs and it took 4 sets to get 1 correct now within 6 months the limbs cracked And I have to call bear and get a return authorization to see what they're gonna do about this very unsatisfied with the new Fred ikeler bear bows

Take Fred bears (Pat) modify it and then call it your own) 🤔 no thks.. guess these days anything is possible

Way over priced riser. Fred helped over price the Hoyt Satori and has now done the same with Bear company. Not interested.

Bear traditional bows way over priced the black hunter longbow on Amazon out shoots any bear bow now days

I bought a pair of black hunter recurves as gifts for my brother and his fiancé. They’re okay. Feel cheap in the hand. Very light, which makes the bow less stable. Not a fan of the bulbous handle. Louder than my 1973 bear takedown. 6 months later, one has developed a serious limb warp; despite being stored unstrung lying down an only strung with a stringer. The black hunter is a fine budget entry level bow, but it’ll never survive to be an heirloom. My bear takedown was passed down to me. It’s 50 years old, no warping, and still pulls the full 45 @ 28. Not trying to hate on your equipment, the black hunter is a great way to get your feet wet. But it’s not made of the quality materials or built to the same standards as a brand name flagship bow. Keep shooting!
