Love this tune....Have a Bill Evans LP 1982 so good.Bought Lionel Grigson ...Jazz Chord Book “The best Ever Cord Book”in 1984 page 25 EMILY,...played ever since.Fred Hersch playing is something else amazing.

2:25 that chord progression from the Bb13 - Dbmaj9#11 - Cmaj7 is so beautiful. This is genuinely my favorite part!

Thank you so much for this wonderful transcription! Even in this relatively early composition one can see, that Fred Hersch is an absolute genius. His sophisticated voicings are unparalleled. For me he is the best living jazz pianist. By transcribing his music you Rowan are doing the great job of helping to preserve the oeuvre of this outstanding musician.

An excellent job, and good on you for doing this, I think it's important to have these masters' arrangements written out so they can be studied. Even though I've listened to this many times, it's great to see the details. His voice leading and attention to detail is superb, not to mention his rock solid time. The whole Mandel album is great.
