From Season 6 Episode 24, ''School Daze''. For a month Fred and Bubba have been sneaking out at night, concerning family and friends and leading Donna to fear that Fred has fallen for another woman.

About Sanford And Son: The highest-rated half-hour series in NBC history at the time, Sanford and Son stars Redd Foxx as the cantankerous sexagenarian Fred Sanford and Demond Wilson as his son Lamont, also his business partner in the family junk-dealing business. To prevent his son from leaving home, and bent on having things his own way in general, Fred often calls upon such ruses as fake heart attacks or phony back ailments. Lamont usually sees through these subterfuges, but because he loves his father, he lets him think he's getting his way.

Sanford and Son was one of the BEST shows ever📺The chemistry amongst the whole cast was Most Excellent😃Always a good laugh🤣ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻

I wonder did she accidentally say it that way, and Fred just ad-libbed? It looks like Lamont was caught off guard by it, and almost came out of character.

Perks of minding your business. Fred was doing it to better himself and Donna had no right to act like that because in two episodes she with 3 guys who wanted her and she had a patient who was flirting with her, on a date with a another guy who a more athletic and another man who asked her to marry him

But she can't help who flirts with her...she didn't act on it. And the guy that asked her to marry her only did it because Fred was taking a lifetime to make up his mind to marry Donna... that's who she really wanted to marry.
