I agree look at some of players not in the hall and there mentioning a glorified roll player Edelman who wasn't even better then Wes Welker. Lets talk Cliff Branch, Fred Taylor, Corey Dillon, Anquan Boldin, Reggie Wayne, Tory Holt, Hines Ward, Sterling Sharpe, Ricky Waters, Roger Craig, Randall Cunningham, Jamal Lewis.

There are 2 reasons Fred isn't in the Hall yet and none are his fault. 1. Jacksonville played in a very small market and the world didn't get to see him as much. 2. Jacksonville never won a superbowl. I played backup running back to Fred in high school and he was a cheat code before the term became a thing. 6ft 210 and running a sub 4.3 in highschool..... He was bigger than me but I had to be his fullback and I didn't mind one bit.

Plus when he was most i jured it was early in his career, which so happened to be the best Jags team/roster. Jags had a dominant oline early in his career and he would get to the 2nd level and it was game over.

@@lilbaseballbatbro9489 yes they had a dominant oline in 1998 and 1999. But once Boselli got hurt then our line was average. Then he had lineman like Tony Pashos, Meester, Nwaneri Barnes and Mo Williams. Very average. Taylor just needed a crease and it was lights out.

Fred never got the publicity hype of a big market, so he was overlooked. Sad but true the PR machine was lacking in Jville. Maybe it would always be the case since we were/are the national writer's stepchildren. The man himself should be a 1st round HOFer..He had almost Deon speed, not quite, but he was muscular, had power, shifty feet, and speed to outrun everyone but the best corners. 80 runs always seemed like he makes one miss, runs through another tackler, and then it was a footrace between the opposing lighter fast 4 db's and Fred in a race to the end zone, which Fred usually won, even after just running over people. He is the prototype of the perfect back. I've seen few better going back to Sayers. A CLEAR cut hofer.

Those runs vs. the steelers were not so e of his best, because he has highlight film for days, but man did he dominate that whole 2nd half. Steelers couldn’t stop him, Jags just lined up and kelt poinding Fred down their throat and they couldn’t do anything about it.

It's the only reason he doesn't get mentioned like maurice jones drew because it's the Jags. Nobody don't think about talent in Jags ever

@@str8rippi Nice list. Not just looking at yards. We need to take in account who they played with also. What QB, Oline etc... The fact you have players on the list that played with HOF QB over Fred i question.
