Freddi Fish was dubbed and translated to Swedish, sadly only the first game. They did an amazing job translating it; modifying all text that appears. While most translations remove the sequence where the bubbles form the title of the game, the Swedish translation kept it, since all it had to do was change the final "h" to "k". Really wished they translated more of the games.

I just remembered a nightmare I had about this game: Loading up a save I made years ago only to find that Freddi was a skeleton from starvation, with Luthors skeleton inside her, as she had eaten him in desperation. the story gets worse as it goes on(in multiple ways), so I will not continue.

But we still don't know what, why, when, where, or who. What were the sea urchins for? Why were the sharks working for the Squidfather? When did Grandma Grouper have such a major role in the farming industry? Where was PBG hiding in the video? Who was phone?

Oh my god I played this when I was 7 and oh my god the memories!!!! This game was so magical for me. Especially the animations. It was one of the most magical parts of my childhood. As well as spy fox. My parents lived to get me these games. So glad to see it being reviewed.

holy fuck this takes me back. The quality of the audio during dialog is something I haven't heard on years.

This game was ported to the Wii and I played it. I love the game itself as it brings back some good memories, but the one thing that bothers me is that on the box it says "over 20 hours of gameplay". I eventually learned that you can skip just about every scene (swimming to another area, finding something other than a bottle, etc) and ended up speedrunning the game in 5 minutes. However, if you're young like I was and don't ever skip the cutscenes, then the game will be particularly longer.

The funny thing is that the sharks didn't even need to steal the Kelp Treasure because, as Freddi stated, it belongs to everyone, including them and the Squidfather, and there's enough to go around. They could have just asked Grandma Grouper for some seeds; though, I'm guessing the Squidfather didn't think of that because... Idk, because he's grumpy?

I'm glad to say I dOOOOOO remember playing Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish as a child. I never actually owned any Humungous titles, but I did play at least one game from both series at my cousin's house/school/somewhere. And another good review from BrutalmOOOOOOse as always.

Now I haven't actually played this game, but it appears that the purple sea urchins are bonus items, which implies that saving Gabby is entirely optional. You can literally leave him to die. Than again, in the other Freddie fish game brutalmoose and pbg review, there's a song about the sinking of the titanic. I guess Freddie fish is just dark in general
