That man Backlund was referring to was Rick Bolton, who wrestled Steele on an episode of All Star Wrestling in an infamous match where Bolton's shoulder was dislocated. Bolton was one of those people that can dislocate themselves at will, so he wasn't actually hurt. Still, it was a gruesome sight to see the Animal twisting Bolton's arm after the match ended.

Very, VERY, Vanilla! He could get the job done in the Ring, but boy, He was boring! Then, his Number 1 ranked opponent comes out... and I was thinking:"Man, this guy can't even TALK! That is, until he mentioned his opponent's name, and then, said what he was going to do to him-In ONE WORD!!! They sure interviewed some strange characters back then, didn't they? One sounds like one of them there Icebergs behind a Pulpit, and one sounds like he'd like to SOUND as good as the Iceberg! Well...as the old saying goes:It is what it is! Somehow, the Then- WWF managed to survive...and thrive.
