Great voice great comedian great impersonator. He brought pleasure to millions but in the end he was a lonely shell of a man who felt totally betrayed. He deserved better.

Freddie certainly sounded like Elvis , you can see the Jordanaires were loving singing with Freddie, must of brought the good old days of singing with Elvis back to them, Freddie was in his element singing with them.

Freddie Starr does a great Elvis impression. He is backed by Elvis's original backing singers "The Jordinairs". Who appeared on one of his shoes on tele. 💖💖💖

Wow, Freddie at his very best showing that he was so much more than just a comedy performer. The combination of his voice along with the superb harmonies from the Jordanaires. Such a joy to watch and to listen. Thank you Graham for this clip.

Freddie was one of only a very few people , that the Jordanaires backed after Elvis passed away, the other notable one is Johnny Earl…..Freddie was one of Elvis biggest fans if not his biggest fan, 👍🇮🇲

Freddie Star was a Fantastic Entertainer, yes he was a great comedienne, but could sing extra well, and it is any wonder he didn't hurt himself with all the falls and slapstick he did. I remember years ago, 1979/80 he came to Australia to perform a series of shows, and as a muso, I played on a show he did at Mitsubishi in Adelaide, South Australia and did his floor show. We were sharing the night with another band, 30 minutes on, 30 off, and 30 minutes on for the other band and 30 off. Halfway through the night, Freddie Star came on, backed by the other band, as they had all Freddie's sheet music, songs he would sing, during his show. He mixed songs in with his comedy, plus as the stage was 5 foot high, Freddie came down onto the floor where the audience were seated, where he had direct contact with the audience. Freddie started his show on the stage, but as we know, he does a series of falls, and falls completely off the stage onto the floor below, it really did look as though he hurt himself, but he picked himself up, and continued his show as nothing had happened. He really knew how to fall, and he is lucky not to have broken his neck, or done damage to his back. 5 feet is a long way down off the stage. Freddie continued his show amongst the audience, using them as his (guinea pigs) keeping everyone in stitches of laughter. He would have been on for an hour and a half, sang about 6 song's in all, dragging people up onto the floor to use in his show. I got the impression that he brings (plants) to sit in the audience, who know what he is doing, as part of his show. This show was a sit down dinner (3 course, with drinks included) and show. There was room for dancing, as our band was a dance band, and people did get up and dance to us. Freddie was great, I feel privileged to have been able to play at one of his shows, and meet him. Very blessed ! He is one of a kind, and is surely missed.

Sad to hear how Freddie went from success to a downward spiral. I read he had been married 5 times. Ended up in Spain. He looked terrible in his latest picture. He became a heavy smoker. Died of a heart attack and broke.😢
