Great video as always, although was disappointed to see you just skip past the British legendary Holy grail, the Vincent Black Shadow, a British bike made in Stevenage from 1948 -1955 and was the fastest production bike in the world up to the mid 70's despite production having stopped nearly 20 years prior, and still wining races and being raced by the like of John Surtees in the 60's, and written about by Hunter T Thompson. 1971 novel Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, he wrote "If you rode the Black Shadow at top speed for any length of time, you would almost certainly die. That is why there are not many life members of the Vincent Black Shadow Society." and not cheap these days with good example's going for up to £90,000.

It's a pity that the show wasn't on the bank holiday Monday too. If it's that crowded then an extra day might make sense. I knew an old biker (ex-Hells Angel) who restored old bikes and had a 1920's Indian in his living room. I'd wake up next to it in the morning after parties at his place.

It did seem slightly empty this year, I was trying to work out who was missing - Malle and Bolt weren't there were they? I went a bit bike-blind after a while, they all started blurring together. There were some standouts and I loved the increasing number of classics, clearly restomodding is a growing thing. And of course we're all getting that bit older and creakier so we're seeing more early adventure bikes appearing, even if they're dressed up as Dakar replicas. How long I wonder before people are welding the subframes back onto old R80s and hunting ebay for the original plastics? Overall, I still think it's the best bike show the UK has to offer, Vikki, Dutch and the team really show how to do it, from the displays to the food to the music to the venue, they make you wonder why on earth you'd want to spend time in a warehouse of an exhibition centre in the depths of winter.

@@FreddieDobbs Hi All, We did lose a couple of regular brands this year due to clashing commitments, which is standard each year as things ebb and flow, but we also added several new brands and companies who haven't ben before or are new. Some retail brands are managed by distributers who chose who to bring and who to leave behind, so losing one often means gaining another. In terms of seeming more "empty", we spaced all the bikes out better this year. in 2022 and 2023 we felt that we crammed too many shed builds into the great gallery, all in long rows, which made them hard to view and photograph - so we moved more bikes downstairs onto the vaults and used more of our 'hexagon' displays to give each bike more space. We were also a little more selective this year, as we find it hard to say No to nice people. Last year there were 313 bikes, this year just over 270 - but bear in mind they are almost all new builds, and still had to get through our selection criteria - which we think is a staggering amount of fresh metal to see - and it still takes a whole day. Hope that helps answer your questions.
