Sad to see this live performance in front of a senior center audience, with moderately-capable backup. Freddy, a frequent performer at the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival in Indio, CA, was always loved and appreciated--especially by me. Why the world didn't embrace him as a superstar, I'll never understand. RIP, Freddy!

He was wonderful....He used to live in Corpus Christi!!!! He was a Corpus Christi treasure. I remember one Friday night he came into the Baskin Robbins for ice cream. My mom and Dad and I thought that was too neat!!!!! He was a true Texas Treasure!!!!! Dearly missed!!!!! 😇🙏🏻

I just heard from Freddy Fender from Shirley Dieu, Joe Exposito,s girlfriend in the seventies, one of the mafia men for Elvis Presley. She said she put her cassette every time she was in Elvis plane and Elvis liked it! Now, I am one more fan of his! Sorry for his lost! Beautiful voice and interpretation. Greetings from Perú!
