Hi Mark! Thank you very much for your feedback! I'm thrilled that you appreciated the craftsmanship and noticed the smaller details. I'm currently working on a larger version where the flap allows it to function as a cash wrap. One of the goals with the Slim Wayfarer wallet was to make it small and slim for use as a front pocket wallet. The flap was integrated in an earlier version, but this reduced storage space, the cash when folded one time fits with some showing/with no leeway, if part of the leather fold it would not. I use this wallet every day. I think you'll find that, once broken in, the wallet will adapt to how it's used, and the flap will feel less loose and more functional. However, as you pointed out, there's always room for improvement, and I am continually working to refine all my designs. Thank you again for your feedback! The problem with the JJ wallet is it’s so thick! I wish the leather was softer. I have had one for a year and it still feels super stiff.

Mine isn’t stiff but I agree with you that it is very thick for a fairly simple wallet.

@@turnbasedtoddy7664 have you tried to apply some leather balm to it? I don't have the JJ but my big finn became softer when I applied balm.

I have a very similar wallet from FORANEO Leather Goods which is also made in my state here in Mexico with Chahin leather and I love it.

holy moly what a price for tiny piece of leather, quit good leather for sure, but a little overpriced for my opinion, for this I mean you can get a whole cow 😅

FYI: Those certificates of authenticity don't really mean anything, as anyone can purchase them and attach one to something they made. They're sold in packs of 10, 50, and 100. And the "serial numbers" on them are a complete joke, since they're not traceable to any particular source.

The consortium has dilluted the value of any authentication tag by selling it separately from their full hides. They can connect each hide to a tag. However, it will be very expensive and not worth it. Not even shell cordovan might worth such an authentication tag.

The number on the certificate allows the Consortium to trace the product back to the specific producer and the leather supplier. No honest supplier would sell these without also providing a leather hide to a contracted buyer. But from that point its a gentleman's agreement, it's based on trust, and the labels could potentially be misused. We ourself use the serial number to link the products we craft to the specific hides we purchase. This way, if there are any issues, we can trace the product back to the producer and the specific hide used. Cheers,

@@FredFloris I have a stack of the certificates/seals that I purchased a year ago, with the intention of attaching them to items I made with Pueblo. At the time, I thought it might add some level of "legitimacy" to my products, but then I realized "Wait a minute, I just bought these, separate from the leather, no questions asked, without any sort of verification." So, they continue to sit in a drawer in my office, as I don't see that they add any value.😞
