Thanks Lukas for your comment! Accordion and guitar actually have some similarities when it comes to placing your fingers, especially on parallel stuff. Also this solo is mostly based on a half-step/whole-step scale, which creates very natural hand positions on accordion if you use the 5 rows of buttons for your fingerings :-)

The metal community is so cool and accepting, that if this guy came out and did the solo for this song, I think the crowd would go wild and love it. If you did this at a country show, rock show, or any other genre (expect polka of course), I think he'd get booed off stage no matter how good it is. And believe me, he is GOOD! He nailed it. God I love metal heads.

I love any rendition of any Meshuggah solo on any instrument as long as there's talent and passion behind it. It's all carried by fantastic compositions so it works regardless of which instrument it is, the harmonies are strong regardless of how you render them! This is no exception! Kudos for this fantastic performance :D.
