It's interesting how some of the negative comments being hurled here at Jesse Jackson were hurled at his mentor and teacher Dr Martin Luther King Jr. There was disrespect for Dr King and it is not a surprise how Jesse Jackson is being demonized by the same haters. I am uncertain as to the why Christian myths are often used as allegories when expressing about the injustices that many communities and individuals experience. I live just right outside Greenville, SC but work in the city. Jessie Jackson has such a poor reputation in the area (where he is from), that its really sad. He even created a housing complex in the area with his own name sake that was 100% inhabited by blacks. The complex had to torn down due to such high drug abuse, HIV and TB infection outbreaks, dangerous crime, and total destruction by those who lived there. He is a hate monger and he himself breeds prejudice towards anyone who is not black.
