It's interesting how some of the negative comments being hurled here at Jesse Jackson were hurled at his mentor and teacher Dr Martin Luther King Jr. There was disrespect for Dr King and it is not a surprise how Jesse Jackson is being demonized by the same haters. Thank you Mr Jackson for all your contributions to the cause of freedom justice and equality everywhere!!

Rev. Jackson thank you for being a voice for the voiceless. You have spoken the truth about the economy and social injustice. It will not end not until black people start voting and investing in the educational system..

Even if your politics don't agree with Jesse Jackson please just set them aside and listen to him. He has devoted his life to something greater than himself and has been through more than you can imagine. I think he has earned your genuine attention for a few minutes. Thank you.

22:00 - 23:00 the Jesse Jackson drinking game. Every time Jesse says the word care, drink a shot. Every time Jesse says that he cares that you care that you care that we care, take a double.

I am uncertain as to the why Christian myths are often used as allegories when expressing about the injustices that many communities and individuals experience. Epicurus, in the 3rd century BCE, had already helped our species to rise up from and to reject the idea of an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God. Any god(dess) which was incapable of impeding or, better yet, was incapable of never bringing into being any and all harms was not a god(dess) at all. 24:34 "...stopped and helped him up. It did not matter that the Samaritan cared, that the Samaritan had some sense of knowing, but that he had some sense of caring beyond colour. Beyond culture. That some call character." If I were able to add one more thoughtful and humanity-steeped characteristic to the list that Jesse Jackon shared and which I quoted, it would be: "...that he had some sense of caring beyond colour. Beyond culture. Beyond religious/spiritual beliefs of any and all ilks. That some call character." It would be such a joy to observe people who believe in myths working on protecting all people regardless of colour, culture, and/or (non)beliefs. Some do. That, I do not deny. I would love to witness more religious/spiritual people slaying our preponsities to be divisive and then to finally work on helping everyone to rise, to be safe, and to be in a position to do the same for others without the need to engage in any questionable and self-serving acts of proselytizing. 🌻

Common decency and common sense. Interesting that it takes the most expensive and thorough education to teach those with direct access to positions of control and power that those traits must be avoided.

Jesse Jackson is a cockroach, a race baiter and one of the biggest opportunists going. He and Al Sharpton promote racism at every turn. He is a dinosaur and we all know what happened to them. Good riddance.

Oh so race baiting is the new buzz word of the conservative nutjobs in America. Pointing out racism is not 'race baiting'.

djfiremansam If you haven't realized by now that Jesse is just a monger of racial indifference. He makes money off of situations deemed "racist", but when presented with the flipside, is not racist at all.

Rigggggght. Its funny how the only times i've ever heard this mentioned recently is on Fox news and usually said by people making pretty racist statements.

"People care that you know. People want to know that you care, but they really want to know that... that you care. It's important for people to know... the care that you know. People care that you know. They really want to know... that you care. And there are those who know and seem not to care." No word of a lie, that is exactly what he says at 22:40. How are people not laughing? Because he talked them to sleep with his nonsense.

I live just right outside Greenville, SC but work in the city. Jessie Jackson has such a poor reputation in the area (where he is from), that its really sad. He even created a housing complex in the area with his own name sake that was 100% inhabited by blacks. The complex had to torn down due to such high drug abuse, HIV and TB infection outbreaks, dangerous crime, and total destruction by those who lived there. He is a hate monger and he himself breeds prejudice towards anyone who is not black.
