10:50 you said you have to pick an IP not being used, but you only looked at the current reservations. Do you have to check the dynamically leased addresses under Address Leases as well? Or will DHCP automatically lease those dynamically assigned hosts a new address?

DHCP will automatically assign a new IP address to dynamic hosts. At the same time, if host is already connected to the dhcp server and has a dynamic leased ip address, you can flip/change it to reserved ip address. So, you would just go to Leased address, find that host name, right click and change to reserved. You can also delete any dynamic ip address and it will get a new one instantly. The host would not even notice it, unless it's a reserved ip address.

Would devices be able to connect to IP addresses outside the scope? for example all of the addresses within the scope have been taken. I come in and connect my laptop to the network. My device would pick up an IP address outside the scope. Is that right?

No, not on Virtual LANs, but maybe on physical if you bypass the DHCP server OS. So, let's say for some reason your switch/router is doing it's own DHCP plus you have a DHCP server running. But, that setup would be a bad idea, so hopefully nobody is using it like that.

Would you ever consider creating a Some type of troubleshooting packet for common issues when working in desktop support since u have alot of experience.i recently passed my network plus exam, but I know to get my start most likely will be in desktop support that would be helpful for most people like starting out while learning on the job, I would pay as well

That's a great idea. I have tons of videos which talk about random desktop support issues. Majority of Help Desk videos will also cross over to desktop support work. Aside from hardware stuff, desktop support is mainly OS and software. I hope that helps.
