Before I sold the jon boat, I found out that there are crappie fishing hotels placed by Texas Parks and Wildlife at Granger Lake. Surprisingly, these spots hold tons of crappie during the summer and fall.

Hi Jared, are you just dropping down on the hole and twitching it, or leaving the jig still?

I like to lightly twitch it pretty much constantly. Put your bait just below the water surface so you can get a feel for it. You want it to look like a minnow swimming it as natural as possible. The fish will be up in 1-2 Ft of water right now spawning. I’ll have a new video up in the next couple days showing where I’m finding them

I’m jealous! Can’t wait to get out in a week or two with my son. Was this recent or just recently posted? Thanks for the video!

I filmed the video in November, so it's a little dated. Crappie and sand bass are already moving back into the san gabriel and willis creek so that's where I'd go. I'll be out there as soon as I fix the steering on my new boat.

Hey Jared, what’s the stump situation out there? Pretty tough or easy to navigate?
@JonBoatJared2 жыл бұрын
Youve got to be careful going up the San Gabriel or Willis creek arms, but the main lake is safe to run.

@@JonBoatJared yep found out going near the mouth was a bad idea lol. It’s gets up to 24 feet deep about a mile into the river. Stump city with about 2-3 inches of visibility! We stayed in the river channel and in that creek arm just below the dam.
