Kudos for the video content! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Weydaniel Organized Dominator (google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for getting 7000 plus project management and business templates minus the hard work. Hello Chantelle, Thanks for your comment. In addition to your steps, some other changes need to be made if you need the Product Ranking table and the Re-order product list (scroll) to work. If you don't use those features, your steps would be sufficient. Well done. I have posted a new version for up to 2000 products. Please let me know your feedback about the template in Mac. I don't have a Mac now and am curious to know how it works.

I just had to come back and say I am Extremely Pleased with the template. I will be using it for Food Sales. I've been trying to learn Access 2007 but this is easier for me and it saves me time. This is really a best inventory management system excel sheet template. I have got exactly what I want. What was missing in this sheet as per my view was, customer billing details. As like the customer bill, bill amount, amount paid, amount pending, number of days past after recent payment. Such type of customer activities were not described here. Otherwise, this is really superb, friendly designed, advanced and perfectly crafted inventory management sheet. Superb!!

You can enter the current inventory units in the Orders table in the Orders_and_Inventory worksheet. You can use today's date and enter all the products' current inventory (each product in a separate row). And then, you can enter every new transaction (purchase, sale) in the table regularly.

As you might have seen, there is a hidden sheet (Help) where I do some calculations. I have a range of cells there that I selected and assigned the name Tbl_Current_Inventory. Hope that helps.

You are welcome. In this template, price is entered for each order manually and so when price changes we enter the new price. In the Retail Inventory Tracker template, indzara.com/2017/02/free-retail-inventory-management-template/ you can enter prices information in a separate prices sheet and the price will auto-populate for orders. If you have same price for all customers - but prices can change over time - then that template can help minimize data entry. Best wishes.

Pfizer Bangis It would require some modifications and testing. Excel tends to become slower when the number of products is increased. Please feel free to unlock (using password indzara) and edit as you would like. Please share what you find. Thanks.

ind zara i have a question again, i decided to use the program and downloaded 2 inventory and sales template, as what i have said that the products i handle is about more or less 3000 plus, that why the first 1500 would be at the other template and the second batch 1500 would also be at the other template, but my question is would it be possible that there would be a search tab at the " choose product" unlike when you enter the purchase and sales at the bottom there is a search tab wherein you would just type in the product and would automatically searches it for you, however in the choose products you would manually scroll it down and search for the products you are looking for were it would take time, especially that there are a lot of products to be search. hoping you can help me with this. Thanks..

You can add two columns in order details tab to enter the lot number and expiry date but currently, we do not have a template to affect the inventory according to the expiry date. Currently, printing an invoice is available in our premium inventory management template. Looks like a very useful & well explained template. I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer. 1) When you purhase more stock/inventory &/or make sales, What is the process for updating your stock levels? ... And then the following day to add more stock and subtract more sales? Also, I have already created my own monster spread sheet which has 12 columns for the sales of each product over the past year. The template works with this concept: Purchase orders are entered to record purchases (adding inventory) and Sale orders to record sales (reduce inventory). One can choose to enter each sale/purchase as an individual order or combine the total for the day and enter as one sale order for a day and one purchase order for a day. It's flexible. Best wishes.

Unfortunately, Slicers (which I use in the report) are not compatible in Excel 2011 for Mac. I like to use them as they help create interactive reports very easily. I hope they add it to the next version of Excel.

how would it be modified for over 100 products? We have under 50 different models but each unit has a unique serial number that I need to keep record of who it was sold to for warranty purposes. I have after market vehicle accessories that will be reordered but will have a different serial number

thanks a lot, i really loved your tamplet. If there were few things added to tamplet i would have loved it more. Like if excel file was some how attached to billing software where quantity could be automatically deducted when product is sold or added when purchased. It would be nice if bar code scanner could even be assimilated to everything.

I noticed that when i trie dto Ctrl + "+" to add lines in the Products tab ... the "to order section" became N/A#? Why is that? Hello sir, how do i add other years on the reports page other than 2012, and why isn't there any partners or products in the reports page even after I fill in my inventory info on the corresponding inventory page. If you are referring to forecasting the product requirement, you can purchase our premium version of the template at the below link to enter the future dated orders and look at the inventory in invoice sheet to know whether the same can be fulfilled or not. Thank you for sharing this video. It is a very helpful tool for people who wants to organize their inventory, even if they are just starting. I have one question, I've downloaded the this temple but for mac you said in you webpage, the mac version "does not have the slicer based Report sheet. Instead, Pivot tables are provided in separate sheets". Do you have a video where you explain how to use the mac excel temple? Thank you so much for your help. Best Regards.,

You are welcome. Sorry, I don't have a separate video for Mac. Except the report sheet, other parts should be the same in Mac. For report, in Mac, we have to use the separate pivot tables. If you are looking for some specific help, please let me know. I will be glad to help. Best wishes.

hey, thanks for keeping this template free. it seems extremely useful. But, there seems some problem with the date in report work sheet. I have entered all the purchase dates in Oct 2016. but reports show charts with Oct 2012. can you please help me out with this error

Please confirm if you have refreshed the calculations by pressing ctrl+Alt+f5 or clicking on 'Refresh All' in the DATA ribbon. Please let me know if the issue is not resolved. Thanks. Best wishes.

antonmirada Current Inventory = (Purchases - Sales) as of now. Starting inventory (when starting to use the template for the first time) can be entered as orders with order date in the past. Hello there, This may be my problem. I sell on shopify and in person including Ebay.com. Because of the tracking on shopify, I mainly need this for Ebay and other sales. I have some knowledge with Excel and some college with it. I should be able to add additional products to the product list ? It I need more than 100 ? Good video though, Thank You

How do I get the reporting to work? I've included all my product and inventory data but the slicers on the reporting tab still only show up as default settings. I.e. The only options were: purchase, 2012, supplier 1, product a, prod cat x. It didn't update to include all my product categories, suppliers, products, sale & purchase, year etc ...

Usually the reason is that the data has not been refreshed. Please confirm if you have refreshed data through the data ribbon - refresh all option. Thanks.

This is excellent. How can i enter data for daily production,purchases and raw materialusage if I make 3 products of juices and each with lets say 1 litre,3litres and 2 litres.

Order year should be based on data entered in the Orders and Inventory sheet. Please e-mail me (indzara at gmail) screenshots and I can try to see what is happening.

excellent template. just a suggestion: maybe it's a good idea to explain everyone right on the product page how to refresh data (data tab, refresh all). I got stuck for one hour or so, with 2012 only report availble... massively attacking the "calculations" options... just to notice it is not helping at all. I simply need to refresh data, not calculate. I'm not an excel specialist at all, but I'm a very experienced IT user, I believe many people get stuck in the reports not refreshing issue. so, maybe a good idea to help everyone.

Currently, this is not designed for that setup. It is designed for retail scenarios where one buys and sells the same products. It also works if you are buying in bulk and selling in different quantities, but they have to be the same products. Thanks for your feedback. Sorry that this doesn't meet your needs.
