I once heard free motion quilting described as drawing by moving paper under a stationary pencil. That has helped me visualize what I'm doing. Your advice is excellent. Thank you.

Hi Helen ... have just discovered you and so thrilled as I too have a Husqvarna much like yours and just wondering if I can use a dual feed foot for this free motion quilting... am not a quilter per se more of a sewer but need to make a mat with free motion sewing... many thanks Pauline

Dual feed?.....like a permeant walking foot? you will be able to quilt straight lines only. Free motion quilting means no feed. You are controlling the movement of the fabric and the stitch length.

Does that machine have a stitch regulator? It is such a lovely even stitch. I’ll have to keep in mind, rubbing lotion on the man of my dreams but my feet pedalling like crazy,
