About Avatar, it is a "standard" system call PBTA (Powered By The Apocalypse). The system is more narrative drived than your traditional d20 system and is craft to emulate a specific kind of fiction. Is not a simple system but a focused one.

I would've gone to the comic shop I like visiting to take part in free RPG day, but it was my birthday. Worth it though.

I haven't read the Avatar game, so I don't have any specific opinions about it. But it's based on the same system as my FAVORITE RPG, which is Masks (a superhero game), from the same publisher. While I'm not a big fan of only using 2d6 for the whole game, I like the rest of the system a lot and love how it can still be crunchy and an involved game system, with the systems focusing on supporting STORIES rather than COMBATS. (Some players prefer story to be pure roleplaying, but I am not among those folks.)

For the avatar game, isn't it a Powered by the Apocalypse system? So the 2d6 is just how that core system works I am not sure if you are unfamiliar with PbtA and other games that use it like Monster of the Week & Dungeon World, or if you don't like that system and games that use it, or if avatar tries to simply it farther and that is what you don't like?

I missed it this year, but I think the only thing here I would of gone for would be the Transfomrers/GI Joe crossover thing because I am curious on how well those could be blended with the Power Rangers RPG. Since the are all built upon the Essence 20 system.

Not trying to be rude, but maybe play a good variety of tabletop games before making content about them. I like your stuff about trading card games and you definitely know your stuff there. But if you aren't aware of the connective tissue between the more character-driven PbtA games like the Avatar game, give a few a shot before passing judgment on one of them. The Avatar stories have always been about connecting one's powers to their spiritual wellbeing. Masks also maps damage to "feelings" and is one of the best systems built around superheroes, so don't pass a system off as a "game about crying" only after thumbing through the rules.
