FREE UAE, ABU DHABI TRANSIT VISA Indians | No need to fly ETIHAD | UAE Free Visa for Indians

You can get FREE UAE Transit Visa! We took free 48 hours transit visa for Abu Dhabi Airport from the Etihad website. We traveled with WizzAir though, so you do not need to travel using Etihad for this visa. The application is processed by Etihad for free for all nationalities including Indians, Pakistanis, etc. The application takes under 5 mins to fill and is processed in 1-2 days.
We availed this 48 hours free transit visa for UAE for our trip to Armenia. Please note that with a valid UAE transit visa, you can exit from Dubai airport too, but to apply for this in the Etihad portal, it is a must that you have your flight ticket to Abu Dhabi and from the same port (Abu Dhabi) to a 3rd destination.
Our tip if you are flying without hand bags and have Schengen visa/residence permit - While going to India, you can easily take this transit visa of UAE and fly using WizzAir for cheap from Europe to Abu Dhabi and then take a cheap flight to India from Dubai/Abu Dhabi using Indigo or any other airline.

Not at all. As long as your port of entry is Abu Dhabi and your transit duration is over 8 hours, you'll get the visa. No need of same pnr or airline.

If I'm not very wrong, Etihad gives this privilege of transit visa through Abu Dhabi airport even when the airline is not Etihad. Sorry misread your question before. Emirates in most likely cases only helps if the carrier is Emirates. Better to get it through a travel agent like Musafir or MakeMyTrip.@@iachowdhury

To apply for this Visa your port of entry and exit should be same, Dubai in your case. Or else you may need to contact any tour agency. Etihad won't do it most probably

What's your itinerary? Single PNR? Multi PNR? From origin country to Turkey single PNR? In any case, yes! Transit visas are single entry, valid for 48 hours after first entry. So if you are transiting Abu Dhabi twice, you need two separate visas.

what if my layover is less than 8 hours? we don't intend to enter Abu Dhabi/UAE, but we don't have same PNR ticket. Mumbai to Abu Dhabi in Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi to Baku on WizzAir. You need a transit visa since the PNR no is different and It's no longer free You have to consult a travel agency for the transit visa, since ETIHAD will not issue a visa (less than 8hrs)

Thanks for watching our videos! Appreciate it. You can get this free transit visa from Etihad site for transit duration more than 8 hours but less than 48 hours. So in your case, even if it is Wizz Air and Indigo, no problem, but since your transit time is less than 8 hours, you will need to ask a travel agent for the transit visa - or you can just reschedule your connecting flight to a later time and stay in Abu Dhabi longer.

You don't need a transit visa if you are flying with Etihad in this case (speak with the airline, not any agent) With the 48 h transit visa you can go to Dubai as well (be sure to return to Abu Dhabi for your connecting flight). If the stopover time is over 48 h you need the 96h transit visa.

It's a very particular case. Normally you need to wait for the validity of your first visa to be over before applying for the next. This was the norm a couple of months ago. Regarding hotel, yes, they ask for an address. You can put any tentative hotel address there, doesn't matter if you stay there or not. Hotel voucher is not needed.

You can get the transit visa from Etihad only if your port of entry and exit is Abu Dhabi. You can visit Dubai, Sharjah, wherever you want with this visa but you need to fly out of Abu Dhabi itself, not Dubai at all. Hope it's clearer now. Feel free to let us know if you have further questions

This 48h transit visa from ETIHAD is only for Abu Dhabi arrival and departure. So you need to get a tourist visa or contact an agent in case theres another transit visa issued by them.

I don't know will you reply me or not but it's very urgent.. because I'm from Bangladesh, recently i got Lithuanian Student Residence Permit Card (Schengen European). That's mean i have the European Schengen Visa. I have all the documents, for example: University offer letter, Tuition fees payment proof, Temporary residence permit etc. And I'm planing to purchase two tickets. For example, first ticket, Dhaka to Dubai on 3rd February using Etihad official website. 2nd ticket, Dubai to Lithuania by Turkey Airline on 4th February. Hello, The Etihad transit visa is actually for transiting through Abu Dhabi, not Dubai. If you're transiting through Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi then you need to get the transit visa from a travel agent. Also check if Bangladesh passport holders with Schenghen residence permits can get visa on arrival there.

Free stopover was there only for few days and got discontinued.

You are eligible for transit visa with this itinerary - Qatar to Abu Dhabi (Etihad), Abu Dhabi to Almaty (Wizz Air). You need transit visa for this in ALL cases as airline is different (different PNR). Get the connecting flight after 8 hours layover and take this visa. With less than 8 h too you will need transit visa with this itinerary but that can't be arranged by Etihad for free. So see if you can break your journey with min 8 h layover in Abu Dhabi.

Etihad will not issue the transit visa in this case as your connecting flight is from DXB and not Abu Dhabi. However, you can easily get a transit visa from a travel agent. It won't be free though :)

The Etihad portal can be used if you are flying to and from Abu Dhabi, not Dubai.

If you have a single PNR and you are not willing to leave the airport, then you do not need to apply a transit visa.

I checked with a travel agent, he is saying I need to go for a tourist visa since I've booked separate flights. But logically transit visa should work, it's like a shortened tourist visa in my understanding.

@@mukundkinger3384 it should but Etihad won't issue the transit visa since it's less than 8hrs. In other words you have to look for a travel agent who may help you with this. Because tourist visa costs a lot for UAE, transit visa is a better option. We suggest you get in touch with some other tourist agents.

Hello, The transit visa from Etihad needs your connection flight to be 8 hours to 48 hours after the first one's arrival. With less than 8 hours layover time, you would need a travel agent to help you with this visa.

thanks for uploading such an informative video, kindly share the experience of Abu Dhabi immigration as well, I mean if after getting 48 transit visa and at the Abu Dhabi Airport which lane will follow either the transit passenger or arrivals, i means its a bit confusion , if you share your experience will be great.

Once you reach Abu Dhabi Airport, there will be officials guiding you to stand in appropriate line and immigration officer will take care of the rest . Passport+visa is enough. No worries, it's easy and hassle free. It's one of the fastest immigration process we have been ever to.

You can add your hotel's ph number if you have booked one. If you do not have a hotel there, you can give any friend's or relative's number or even your tentative hotel address and number. They do not need hotel confirmation for this.

Hello there, i hope you are seeing my comment , because i really need some information/help . So i have tickets from different airlines, and layover between them is hardly 6 hours. So what to do now ? ( I'm not intend to exit the airport, but for terminal change maybe i have to) From Etihad Airways i paid for transit e-visa and they rejected 😅. It’s better to consult a travel agent since you have to get a transit visa, and ETIHAD won’t provide any since it’s less than 8hrs

If your transit time is under 8 hours and you have different PNRs/change of airline company, then please contact an agent for a transit visa. If same PNR, no visa needed.

@@saswatghosh You don't need a transit visa if you're flying on a single PNR with Etihad from Europe/US to India via Abu Dhabi. If your transit time is over 8 hours but under 48 hours, you can get the 48 hours transit visa and go anywhere in the UAE (Dubai too, but you need to come back to Abu Dhabi and fly out of Abu Dhabi itself). If your transit duration is over 48 hours (more than 2 days), you need a 96 hours transit visa (even if it exceeds by an hour).

Using this visa you can land and take off from Abu Dhabi only. In between you can of course travel to Dubai. But flights have to be to and from Abu Dhabi only.

Nothing, my visa got rejected with no valid reason. I have uploaded all the docs required, but randomly it got rejected. Now if I hve to travel by tue, I need to pay 30k and get urgent visa. This Etihad Airways stuff is not helpful. I called them multiple times to get an update, but their contact itself is not working

It usually takes between 1 to 3 working days. Milad un-Nabi is also there now, which maybe is causing some delays, you'll get it definitely soon.

If you're booking a hotel, provide the hotel's address and phone number. It's needed for the visa processing. In reality, doesn't matter if you stay there or not.
