This will depend on the specific situation. This will usually consist of all interest-bearing borrowings, and will exclude overdrafts and trade payables. Read the questions carefully, as they may state otherwise.

hi what if they give previous value and expected future value for preferred stock , how to cacluate its total market value ?

The PV (or MV) of preferred stock is ALWAYS just the future cash flows discounted at the market rate. Any prior cash flows are irrelevant (except in order to determine the future cash flows, which include: redemption amount and pref. divs)
