Bro Hashim you have so much knowledge so I can't tell you what to do but simple answer is in my view that Allah knows what some one is going to do even though Allah has given humans a free will but Allah still have given you instructions to follow and keep it on the right path but it is up to you to follow that or not with your free will.this is a very good debate.may Allah help this Turkish brother.ameen

"it's already written" means Allah The All-Knowing, knows everything you are going to do in your life and has written it down, or recorded it. You, as a person, still have free-will to do whatever you like, but whatever choices you make, Allah (swt) has already made a note of what you're going to do.

This might not be accurate, but for the sake of explanation, I would like to think like we are watching a movie on a pc. Can we know what will happen to the characters ? what will he do? what will happened to him in the end? and write it down even before the character in the movie decide what he's going to do next while having no clue whats going to happen to him until the end? yes, simply fastfowarding, rewind, pause as many times as you like,, and then write it down how the character progress, his decision and action and finally what happen to him until the end. How is it possible? because we're outside of the movie timeframe, in different time and space. But from the pov of character in the movie, he doesnt know what will happen next, no matter how much we rewind, fastforward and playback many times, the character in the movie will never know what will happen to him in the future, he is bounded by time and space in the movie. In our case as human, We are like in mega movie storyline which begins with bigbang, then the storyline progress with the creation of smokes, stars, planets, our earth, creation of us(human), beginning of civilization, the end of the world, the judgement day, until we finally reside either in hell or paradise, when the movie will finally ended. Since God is outside of our time and space, he is outside of our movie, therefore its possible for him to know what exactly happens to us,what we will do, as our life movie progress what is our timeframe etc, and write it down. This is in no way how god did exactly, because His knowledge is beyond of our comprehension, we never know exactly how God did it, but its just how to illustrate based on our observation and limited knowledge.

PrinceInShadow I don't think comparing Allah SWT to someone watching a movie does Allah SWT justice. But I understand your point. That Allah SWT is not affected by time and space. I think of it all as Allah SWT has created all of creation and knows what will happen before it has happened based off of his infinite wisdom, infinite knowledge and infinite power; we will never understand how. But human beings get bogged down in the technical details of "how" when Allah SWT has told us we will never understand Allah SWT. It is a fool's errand and wastes time trying to understand Allah SWT; a trick from Shaytaan to make you turn away from the straight path. Humans complain that they do not understand why Allah SWT would go through all this effort. What they do not understand is Allah SWT is not affected by time at all. There is no extremely long delay, impatience, tiredness or anything of that sort on Allah's part. Allah is the everlasting.

One of Allah’s attribute is the All Knowing then he knows everything including the future. If God didn’t know what we are going to do then Allah is limited. Us as human given the free will and Allah knows the choices we will make. Some people find it difficult to comprehend because they expect Allah to stop them from making wrong judgements I guess. Lots of people find this concept hard to except. But with a bit more deeper thinking it makes sense.

God knows the ultimate outcomes..but human free will gives choices for actions, to those ends. For example, the man will go home..but its his free will to choose which mode of transport(walk,bus,train) he will take to go home. The choice of transport is his, but God already knows(outcome) the mode of transport he has chosen. Their is no conflict of logic..'pre-determinism' is not 'choices'.. note, a scholar posed the question; ask a man to lift his right leg & keep standing..then told the man to lift his left leg & still keep standing. Of course he could not, so human free will is not absolute..their is 'pre-determinism' which affects all humankind.

Brother Hashim assalamu aleikom.i like very much what you do.but i have an objection on your explanation of destiny (kadr) as you explain it to your guestes.it give an unclear view to them. But as we understand destiny is like that.. men are responsibl of their actions and intentions.but they are not responsibl of things they have no control like ex.their birth and death their gender geography where to be born and died what to earn and when this is destiny wich we have no conrol.i hope i participate a bit to explain.thank you

it simply means that just by us knowing that whatever will be will be means very simply that it is pointless to moan and cry and lament about something that happens to you, i.e. like a loved one dying in youth etc. you can be sad but it is something you can do nothing about except pray for their souls and then carry on with your life knowing that it was pre ordained by the will of Allah and you would be defying Allah by over lamentation and beating your breast year after year which is ultimately negative and will lead into a negative bitter existance full of depression and (drink and drugs in the case of non believers )etc which is very very negative. the point of us praying 5 times, entering a home with our right foot, being conscious of being clean, of brushing our teeth with miswak, may seem small things but ultimately it gives us consciousness of our not being alone, that everything is not due to our own egos but that their is a supreme being who is all aware to whom we will be answerable. God consciousness. this brother is concentrating only on sin, which he should know is that Allah SWT will forgive all sins, if he repents sincerely and refrains from the sin, islam teaches only goodness and justice and a fair and equitable way of life for everyone and that was never the case for any other civilisation before. none. there is a rule for everything and by learning these rules we should exude goodness from our every pore. most of the western laws are based on the ones borrowed from islam as is the social security and taxation system and NHS of the united kingdom from islam as well as universities and free education and and even free hospitals and pet sanctuaries were first developed by the muslims. these people had been pagan barbarians before islam came to them.

Y doesnt speakers say tht .. even wen u hv a free will and ALLAH given u tht .. still first he told u tht wat is a sin and if u do the sin u will b punish . But he is asking if its already written for him to do the sin thn he shudnt b punished.. the answer shud hv been from hashim tht qader is of rizq death but the free will is upon u n ALLAH is giving u the right to b the judge for urself .. will u do sin or will u save ur self .. u know from the guidance of ALLAH wat is sin or wat is not a sin .. so u choose .. if u probed ur self from then sin tht will b the righteous thing for u to do but if u dont thn u already know where u going .. so on tht u b judge on the day of judgment ...

A Gul god already knows your actions before you make them cos he already created those actions.. like he created many scenarios... but it's up to you which scenario you choose.. so if you choose scenario A you go heaven.. if you choose scenario B you go hell.

A Gul Just because Allah KNOWS what you are going to do and it has already been written down, doesn't mean Allah has made you make those choices. For example, if I gave you a piece of paper and told you to hold onto it, then I tell my son to go into the room and he'll find three different fruits, pick one and bring me his favourite. Out of the apple, orange and pineapple he brings me the pineapple. I then tell you that I knew he'd pick the pineapple and you can check the piece of paper I gave you. On it, it says my son will pick the pineapple. Now that doesn't mean I made him or forced him to pick it, but because he is my son, I knew he would pick that. Therefore just as Allah The Almighty has created and knows all of us, it has already been written what we will do based on His attribute as The All Knowing.
