I know, that stare while they’re feeding is so cute! They are working at getting all they can - or, that suckling is so engrained in their DNA as a kitten. There is a black leopard named Luna on KZfaq. Her mother abandoned her at birth and she had some health issues so she was raised and her health issues taken care of by a relatively young Russian woman. It’s amazing to see. But just yesterday I came across a clip of Luna being fed a bottle by this woman and Luna, who was being held by the Russian woman on her lap while sucking on her “ba” had the exact same expression on her face as this little kitten. So very cute and pretty remarkable! After she finished the bottle she licked the woman’s face as a thank you and sign of affection. It’s quite an interesting channel!

You wouldn't die for shid. There's million like that out in the streets. Many getting tortured by sickos and sick kids. I don't think you'd butt in to try and do something about it. Let alone care for a constantly screaming thing you have to feed and make shid and clean every 2 hours.

Me too! That’s why I don’t volunteer foster anymore, but I take cats and kittens who come to the door and get them healthy if they don’t have resources for do so. Then I bring them in…usually! I do have a 2 year old cat because I do this! And another cat (age unknown). I’d love to have a houseful again but I need a new apartment and it’s hard to find one that takes multiple cats.
