In part workbench, under part, use "create a copy" --> "refine shape".... it doesn't help with the curved surfaces but the flat surfaces get simplified triangles.

When i convert. Mesh to shape my minimum value wont go lower than 1. What am i doing wrong?

Save yourself 25 mins, the answer is redraw the entire part. lol

At 2:30 it clearly shows that the circle is also made of straight lines too. How is that supposed to fix it ? By Increasing the resolution of the circle ? Or by subdividing the mesh more ?

The mesh of course is made of straight stuff. The circle on the other hand is computationally a circle, but graphically it has to be represented by straight lines for performance. SolidWorks does the same thing, and I go into a little more on the principle of graphical meshes here. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNhnZ9GktNzaXYE.html Hope that helps

This seems overly complicated. Why cant anyone do a proper conversion from STL to a solid and create all the curvature without facets? Remaking the part is not the answer.

There has to be a better way, why cant it simplify the mesh? Then couldnt we do a boolean that would take a mold of the mesh by creating a cub and putting the mesh in the center. then do a boolean remove and we would get a cube with the center hollow in teh shape of hte mesh. then we would create another cube in the same spot and jdo a boolean intersect.
