Postman has over 10 million users worldwide. This course will introduce you to Postman and is suited for beginners. You will learn how to build API requests with Postman, how to inspect responses and create workflows.
The second part of the course will get into the most exciting feature of Postman: writing API tests and automating their execution. You will learn about the collection runner, Postman monitors and Newman.
You will get hands-on experience and will have plenty opportunities to practice. The best way to learn is by doing the assignments.

Amazing tutorial! 1st time Postman user, with the only knowledge of JS being variables and functions, and managed to understand it perfectly fine. Honestly, this should be no. 1 in the Postman tutorials globally. Seriously! Simply perfect, straight forward, no BS, intro Postman for beginners. P.S. They reintroduced the "Run collection" option in the collection Drop menu in v. 10.17.2

I love Postman. I’ve used it with the Microsoft Teams API. It was so intuitive that I managed to understand queries, variables, body and parameters without any training or documentation. I just knew how APIs work, and that was enough. You can even get the code for fetching that data in many different programming languages like PHP, Bash with curl or Perl. That saved me a lot of time.

for anyone trying to use newman but are getting errors in your tests, you have to export your global variables from the web interface in postman by clicking "environments" -> "globals" -> "export" and when you run the test via newman in the cli, you have to add the comand line option '-g ' at the end

"Collection" now is called "Folder" I am following the course, and it also allows you to save the API code in the main folder, thanks for the video btw, finally I can listen to some tech stuff in not-Indian accent :D (don't misinterpret me, I have no problem with Indians, I like them, just listening to tech stuff in their accent is painful)

Thank you for this awesome course! I just have a question. When we take a token and copy it for authorization, I forgot to copy it and sent another request to {{baseUrl}}/api-clients/. But this time as in the video, I recieve "error": "API client already registered." I waited for a couple of hours but I still get the same error. Does anyone know how I can solve this?

Hi! Useful video, thank you. Just want to ask: is anyone receiving an error when trying to order a book? Up to that point, the responses were the ones you got. But I get "Invalid or missing bookId", even though I get the list of books and their id's are ok. L.E.: Yep, found my mistake. I forgot to select JSON. Issue solved. Was anyone able to get an authentication token for the simple book api? I seem to be having trouble with that.

@@tedariaga1800 Try using with a valid email id and different client name. And check if your api method sets to Post and url is valid
