The main issue with Lakers is all said with their body language. They get frustrated when they're behind several points. They start complaining, getting frustrated with their own teammates, and that lowers morale and concentration. The Nuggets just keep moving forward. They rarely get frustrated at one another, or themselves. The mindset is different.

Lakers barely challenged shots, which they often do. They give up easy buckets and other teams do not play this dumb, this is why they often get a bunch more FTs. Stop acting like the refs are all bought. It gets old... If this was some secret cheat code for them, they would be winning alot more. Denver simply challenged shots and drives to the basket, which often results in FTs. It is not rocket science.

This game was so painful to watch I almost turned it off. When Nuggets got out on that run and took the lead in the 3rd, it's like the Lakers entire team became paralysed. I don't know how else to explain this other than saying that they looked like they forgot how to play basketball. Completely passive, bad body language, not handling the ball, not attacking the rim whatsoever (this was mindboggling), not knocking down any shots, slow tempo on offense and so on. This only happens against Nuggets. It's like the Lakers cannot do anything when Nuggets have the momentum. Let's talk about Darvin Ham for a second cause I still don't understand how this man is a coach, let alone the head coach of one of the biggest franchises in sports history. He played Rui for 31 minutes, saw that he was getting cooked by Jokic every possession and made no adjustments whatsoever. He should've played Hayes at the 5 and AD at the 4 when Lakers were leading. You'd think Rui would be there for the offence at least if he's getting cooked on defence, but he only took 4 shots. He played Gabe only 8 minutes despite him hounding Jamal on defence, which is what we absolutely needed. He watched Nuggets get out on a run and didn't call a timeout. I've never hated a coach more in my life. Even if the Lakers miraculously win the chip this year, I still want Ham to be fired. Even letting LeBron be the player-coach will be an insane upgrade.

@@niandralade Yep! And I was annoyed at how Nuggets were fouling hard when the Lakers looked like they had an easy bucket. They had no concern other than making sure the player doesn't get a good shot off, while Lakers just let them have the points sometimes. There were so many plays where a Lakers player just backed off and let the Nuggets player have the dunk or layup. At 3:25 Rui could've easily bear hugged him to prevent an easy bucket but nope he backed off. Even if was called a clear path foul, that would've been better than giving them momentum and getting the crowd going.

What the Problem is.....Lebron has control of the 90% of the plays....Denver is a 2nd half team. Now 5 min left... Bron is tired....he has Givin the the offense to Ad which at this point we all know Ad has to score. The Lakers is stagnant and they stand around waiting and hoping. What would help the Lakers if Lbj would let As run the 1st half offense and then lbj takes over the offense late in the 3rd qtr. BUT Lbj won't adjust. So now guess what Reeves and Russell suffer or it's 2 obvious to have be the go to. Denver use every look all game long. You don't know who's going to make the basket.

Tbh I don't see any team in the current league beating this Denver team, they're just a bad match up for everyone. Stylistically there's probably only one team that can just about compete with them and have a slight chance, and that's the Clippers. Other than that I can't see who's going to stop this team from doing a 3peat at this point.

if you get fouls for weird stuff outside the paint and not during shot attempts, thats the result of that. Lakers often do not play with alot of urgency trying to challenge shots or layups, that is why they usually do not give up too many fts, but suffer easy buckets in the paint especially. Nuggets fouled right at the rim, as you should. But that of course risks giving up a bunch of fouls and ft attempts.

Yes...he flinches as if someone touched him and the referees immediately call a foul without thinking. Since the first season, the kid has been treated by the ref's as if he is the first pick of the draft and the new MJ. Otherwise, I like him, the kid plays quite solidly... but if he leaves LA and goes to play somewhere else, then he will see how hard basketball is for most... and I guarantee his points will decrease on average, because he will have to earn every single bucket and not only to flinch his head backwards and immediately two free throws!
