Yeah tell that to a wolf or a tiger, mate. Animals agreeably shouldn’t be crammed into cages, but its nothing personal when people eat them. Nature doesn’t care about your opinion when animals eat other animals.
@cypresslounge
@cypresslounge 2 жыл бұрын
@@Radnick0024 Animals don’t have morals. Humans do. Humans have the ability to make choices. Every time we enter a grocery store or a restaurant, we make choices. A tiger doesn’t have that choice, or any moral compass. Animals rape others, commit canibalism, murder or eat their young, fight to the death for a mate. What happens in nature is quite separate from what humans do. We are not wolves and tigers. And to your point about it not being personal, maybe that’s part of the problem. Most people buy meat wrapped in plastic sitting neatly on a styrofoam tray. There is no connection to where that meat came from. We even adjust our language so we don’t have to think about where it came from. Beef is actually cow muscle, but calling it cow muscle is a turn off, make us think about the animal it was cut from. Maybe if it was more personal, people would eat less meat.

The way pigs are treated on factory farms is dreadfully horrible. Pigs are very sensitive beings both mentally and physically. That causes them to suffer pain and terror even more intensely than imaginable when getting abused and harmed. On the good side, pigs' sensitivity allows them to feel incredible joy from kind treatment, loving attention, belly scratches and other affection like that. Pigs in sanctuaries look to be in such joyous bliss, and look at their reactions when getting belly scratches, rolling in mud, or eating good food (pigs' tastebuds are also more sensitive than ours). Pigs can feel to the extreme on both ends of the scale, unimaginable terror or complete blissful joy, and it all depends on where they are and how they are getting treated

@Joker Toker come on... the scrolls that make up the Bible were written by men years before the Bible was put together. As a matter of fact the first gospel wasn’t written until 40 years after Jesus died. Men collected many scrolls and men decided what was to go into the Bible as we know it. Whatever makes someone want to be a better person I’m all for but be truthful. Neither god or the jesus wrote anything from the bible. Men wrote it based on dreams/visions they had.

@Joker Toker you’re an idiot if you think that’s how a man should act. A man treats his “inferiors” better than himself. A man doesn’t treat his wife poorly, he lifts them up. An animal has feelings , wants, needs and emotions just like you. You’re what’s wrong with religion.

@Joker Toker fairytales made to scare and control children. Okay so for arguments sake let say god is real. He allows women and children to be abused horrifically everyday. He allows people to inflict massive amounts of pain and suffering on innocent animals. He allowed men to kill one another in his name and did nothing. In my eyes if he were a real omnipotent being yet does nothing to help the innocent... Jesus could come down to earth proving to me that he’s real and I still would turn my back on him. Just like he does when a child is getting raped by its father. Just like when parents abuse their child to the point of death yet on their deathbed can ask for forgiveness and be allowed into heaven.

@@alvexok5523 Agreed. I'm sure you have seen video of dairy cows who are kept inside for months in winter, and go to kicking up their heels when they let out in the spring. Here in Southeast Texas, my grandparents had a family cow with plenty of pasture, and she could still graze in winter, and come and go from her shelter. She got her feed at milking times (probably more in winter), and hay as needed, so she never got all excited about anything, either. It is wrong to heavily confine an animal, especially how sows and laying hens are kept commercially. I don't even like to hear of people kenneling a dog during the day, who they may shower with affection upon their return from work every day. Eight to ten hours of that is like the better part of a week in 'dog hours', maybe. lol (They likely sleep for much of it, but still.)

But lets face it, unless a vegan learns worldwide mind control that isnt happening. It wilp gradually drop. Just like hownits happening to the dairy industry right now. Its steadily dropping off due to people learning compassion and the unhealthy effects of cow milk. Farmers are money slaves, its plain and simple. They produce whatever the supply and demand is.

Because too many people refuse to look at pigs to be on the same level as dogs. They automatically have it programmed in their minds: dogs and cats = pets, pigs and sheep = meat. I know what death is like, but I do understand people need to eat. Going vegan sounds great, but I've enjoyed eating various meats my whole like (although I feel like eating less as I get old), so I think it's natural for people to eat meat, so I think it's good to support orgs like Humane Farming Assoc since they battle corporate factory farms and try to get animals grown for food to be treated humanely.

@@gipbwok2008I didn't grow up eating meat, so I don't eat it nowadays. I have tried it and I can safely say that I am not really missing out. I think that the personal sacrifice of not raising an animal to be consumed/ used to get its milk is well worth it, considering that animals are capable of feeling emotions.

@@iams2109, sorry, my comment 5 months ago was kinda rude, I apologise. I guess I just feel sorry for pigs because of how intensely they suffer at slaughterhouses. Pigs are one of the most intelligent animals, and one of the most emotional and sensitive animals. When physically abused, pigs feel every inch of unbearable agony on their already very sensitive bodies. And pigs are intelligent and understand what's happening to their fellow pigs and how they're next in line for slaughter. Pigs get frightened very easily, so they must be feeling beyond imaginable extreme terror when they're getting beaten, thrown and kicked around, and getting a big sharp blade to their throat, and feeling all their life blood pour out of them. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes to die after getting their throat cut. They thrash and kick for 5 - 10 minutes after getting cut, I'm sure that you've seen that before.

Many citizens refrain from doing any or extra research knowing full well, with billions of animals killed annually, the factory farm worker's being forced to work fast, hence, brutally; and while the regular Jane and Joe may be appalled, sickened even by that which they've been told, hence, wanting very much so for barbaric practices to be halted, they, nonetheless, have cravings for hamburger, steak, bacon and barbecue. So, while the meat is being served onto their plates, they're shoving their consciences under the table. I know because I've been there. I can only pray, firstly, that with each passing day and each shared video by rescue groups, our consciences' screaming ever louder and more insistently for Humane change; and secondly, that all those global citizens concerned about both animal welfare and ecological sustainability, yet, still craving meat, will try both the plant-based Impossible Whopper offered by fast food restaurants and the Beyond Burger/Sausage offered by restaurants and grocery stores, too. As long as each product is served hot without over-cooking, and, with the usual accoutrements of mayo/substitute, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle, etc., a majority of people's meat cravings can be satisfied. And, too, most importantly, they can be satisfied without the "cheezy" sensation experienced by the one defying if not denying conscience, as too, the one acknowledging its weight bearing down ever more, hence, knowing better, yet, hungering for that ethically, if not morally forbidden just the same. So, here's to Thanksgiving with its dinner of Impossible Burger, a little baked sweet potato, a little fruit and vegetable salad with balsamic oil dressing, a little apple pie with non- dairy topping, and the ear to ear grin that I shall be wearing from not having driven the killing of any animal in its making. While lacking the traditional favorites I've so loved, it will nonetheless be perfect for its being served and enjoyed Guilt-Free!!! Blessings to everyone, always.

Hahaha! Meat-eaters are so easy to trigger. Take the above comment for instance^ the only reason people say that vegans are triggered easily is because it benefits the meat, dairy and egg industry psychopaths who don't want their profits going down so they feel the need to project their own irritability onto decent people by creating a false stereotype for gullible, robotic idiots to believe about vegans. Don't worry. There's help out there for people with anger issues and an inferiority complex. Look up 'psychotherapy for narcissists' :)
