I'm looking to purchase an older Strat and the sound that Freedom pipes offer is freaking awesome. You could definitely hear him coming down the road a good distance away. Very nice

Damn. For a yammahamer sounds good, and the torque quickness on takeoff surprises me. I’ve had about every make in the last half century. Yamaha, and Suzuki are two I never liked much, but this might change my mind ?

Thank you for the the feedback man That 1900 CC was definitely a game-changer for Yamaha my only gripe about this bike is it really needs a 6th gear .
@67cuda384 жыл бұрын
@@riverlee001 Honestly, as far as rice burners go, I’ve always preferred Kawasaki. Always seemed to have a better sound, thump, torque, just more Harley like. Even the cafe’s, like ninja’s, I like more. I’m trying to decide on my next cruiser, comparing them. I’m also thinking about my next old school hardtail, chop, rake, long narrow springer build. Whether to build another old 650 thumper, or go with the bigger Harley motors this time. Getting tired of my full dress. Like riding a water buffalo, lol !

I seen this video is 7 years old, not sure if you still have this bike or not. Do you still recommend this exhaust? I just recently picked up a 2016 with only 2300kms on it, and I absolutely love the bike and was thinking about the true duals. Just a couple questions, are they low and strike alot? Do I need a fuel programmer? And can I still use the oxygen sensor?

Great video! Definitely like the sound of the Freedom duals. Been racking my brains on Vance and Hines 2 in 1 or the Freedom duals. I have a 2014 Strat and lowered the back an inch 3/4 so I'll probably end up scrapping. Are the baffles removable?
@riverlee0018 жыл бұрын
you do not want to remove the baffles from these pipes the pipes are tuned for this motor through a five-stage header taking the baffles out will ruin your back pressure resulting in a loss of power
@jberg31182 жыл бұрын
@@riverlee001 sir did you remove the packing from around the baffles, or is this sound what you get out of the box? I just bought set of these. I was reading some folks thought the duals were to quiet and mentioned cutting out the packing. Yours sound amazing.

Hi there! Just curious to know how the exhaust is holding up? Also you never added a fuel programmer, or sent your ecu off to Ivan's performance to be flashed? Do you have any scraping with the pipe crossing underneath or the dual pipes themselves?
@siftedsoul11 ай бұрын
I had the same question about bottoming out at that crossover. I read a review at one of the dealer website where this guy said they did and that he couldn't even ride two up. I was thinking about it and while I ultimately have no idea, I'm pretty sure if this was an actual issue you would see it brought up in threads and comments. So I'm assuming that negative review was a ninja style slander campaign by a competitor aftermarket exhaust campaign. But I'd love to hear verification from someone who's ran them. They sound great and look slick as hell.

Only duallys (and cost) would change my mind about removing my stock pipes, Even new, my 2014 stock exhaust sounds better than my 2007 strat stock exhaust. Just wondering about how much pressure you are getting to each pipe, does it have a cross over, and did it need a fuel/mix re-tune to prevent lien burning, and if it created additional top end engine noise like my D&D slip on did.
@riverlee0016 жыл бұрын
i paid about $900.00 for them and im not sure about the presure, there is no cross over they are a true dual no top end noise and no tuner needed hope this helps you check them out for more info Freedom Performance Exhaust freedomperform.com/

question for you, if you had the money, would you still get the yamaha, or would you get a harley? the reason i ask is that yamaha built their own cheaper version of a harley, with the air cooled, under head cam, push rod ancient technology. honestly, in my opinion based on my own experience, air cooled yamaha is garbage. i had the 1700 roadstar, that looked amazing, but had mechanical flaws. I will never own another one, i'll tell you that..
@AzTurboMini3 жыл бұрын
Most of these big bore Yamaha motors will out last a water cooled Harley motor by twice the mileage. My buddy put 87k on his 1700 before selling it to another friend of his that still rides it and that was 6-7 years ago. You'll NEVER see a Harley come anywhere near that kind of mileage. 60k if you're lucky, very lucky. Maybe you got a Friday-Monday bike?
