I came to the comments to say what has already been said numerous times… but I’ll say it again, they’re backwards 🤣 the slant on the bottom is meant to account for the shock, my guy.

@@FreedomStreetGarage I have the exact same bike man. 07 FXDL the longer bracket goes where the blinker bolts go and the normal ones go up front. They go between the fender and the rails. It’s a pain in the ass to do because you have to jack the bike up to get clearance for the bolt to come out where the blinker is but it’s doable lol honestly, I called Thrashin to double check that they went on the backside lol they’re sturdy as can be though dude. Nice bags for sure. Didn’t have to alter anything or relocate my blinkers. Straight bolt on.
