wow I don't know why I never thought to just wind the natural braids inside the groove of the faux locs. I thought I had to stick to crochet needle through the inside of the loc and then somehow hide the braid on the inside pulling it through. That was so much work...not only trying not to snag the loc but to conceal the natural braid. Man I wish I would have came across your tutorial the time I needed it for my client.... thank u!!!!

This is the best faux dread lock tutorial I've seen. I want to try dreads before permanently dreading my own hair. The problem is finding good hair that doesn't frizz up or get really matted. It would be nice to see some of these styles after a month....

Did u do it and if ,so how it come out I'm taking my cornrows out from my wig,and after doing this,but with two colors black bottom/sides blonde top! Said all summer. Going to get do the look it's icy😁.Hope u did an u like .Now lie I found this freestress.that I haven't seen a tutorial yet an the faux locs are,so dope. It's the ones with the wave ends ,but a different loc look.

You can make yarn locks by yourself and then do the crochet method. Maybe make it smaller if you don’t want your hijab to be bulky. You can still do it even if you wear a hijab 😊
