Hey Mabb's, thanks so much as always. Yeah, I think I sort of hinted and just wanted to keep things separate. I didn't want the spotlight to be taken away from the glitch or the legs hence the two different videos. And thank you so much for sharing how we can find out more info about the legs. It's always something I want to add but never do to keep my videos short, appreciate it very much buddy.

Thanks for your advice Niock. I guess the benefit of using the wall climb glitch is so that you don't have to use powered armor and Jetpack but I do see that some may not be able to use it and your alternative steps will help out, thanks so much for sharing.

Oh God ik, I didn't know about this when I did it, and I had the perks that let me basically sprint all the time while over encumbered, and it was a nightmare bc my jetpack fly time was dramatically decreased by my ap usage... fun times

@@xxportalxx. It's a really great set of perks combined that makes things even more fun and helps to overcome challenges. And then sometimes you have gear like these legs that more or less that make it more worthwhile.

I have to admit that I do love climbing up walls and then just jumping off without thinking about the penalties. It's a lot easier to use when you get the hang of it and in survival mode it's a blessing to have. I also tend to play as a sniper so it's awesome climbing to certain heights and then going to town on enemies.

Thanks Cheesy McNuggets, they are a great set and allow you to pretty much escape death a number of times and help out. You can literally forget about jump damage the moment you get these. It's totally worth it.

That's pretty much the Spiderman effect. I did the same thing. At the time I think I climbed a raider building and jumped. It was awesome seeing the raider through the windows trying to shoot me lol.

Thanks Zoie, that's so true. When thinking about it, not every player will have power armor with a jetpack so chances are that they may miss this room entirely. I do hope that my guide helps out.

@@TrappedInFallout I hope so to because your guides are very easy to follow, also just a friendly tip, I found the fireplace like a month ago, but it was stuck inside the ground, so I had to have dog meat get it for me which gave me a good idea for a future guide for you, if the firelance gets stuck just tell dog meat "find me a weapon" and he'll automatically get it for you, then just ask him to find the ammo and he'll find it all for you.

@@TrappedInFallout hey no prob, I only had the idea because I was standing exactly where it was and it was inside the ground, so I couldn't interact with it, but dogmeat could, and ultimately saved my playthrough, thank atom for dog meat and his fetch mechanic

@@I-AM-EL-ZOZO Totally agree. In fact my first Fallout 4 video on my channel was entirely around Dogmeats ability to get thr Cryolator using Dogmeats fetch mechanic. It is a awesome feature.

That's totally true and it's what really makes it worth so much when you do manage to get the free fall legs and then fall damage is never going to be a problem again. On survival it can be a big problem if you don't sleep somewhere and save.

@@TrappedInFallout just tried to et them with console command tcl. But they're actually cheat protected. If you have tcl activated in this building, they won't spawn. Thats crazy. 😆

@@TrappedInFallout oh... and i tried it with jetpack and setav action points 5000, but the jetpack uses AP at the same speed. Brilliant for Bugthesda 😆 😆 😆

@@TrappedInFallout in the end i did it with drugs. Spammed Quantum Nuka and Jet and used my Jetpack.

I can try but I'm afraid to test my own theory out. Jumping of high places to test this sort of thing is not something anyone would probably want to volunteer to do if you know what I mean.

That's an interesting theory. I have found free fall damage on legs before but I don't recall finding one until I got these legs. That said I have certainly found other legendary effects on other kit well before finding a set legendary gear with the same effect.

@@TrappedInFallout I was randomly watching a oxhorn video, and he mentioned it, and said the legendary effect is "acrobatic" (which made perfect sense to me because in the elder scrolls oblivion, there's a stat called "acrobatics" which allows you to walk on water and many other things) (I only know of the walking on water feature because of Wilburgur, my favorite comedic fallout/oblivion KZfaqr) so Bethesda probably just carried it over (however in oblivion there is a one of a kind set of boots that does the same exact thing except it explodes once used and can't be brought back without console commands) but it is a cool story if my story is right, todd Howard did make the idea for both of them, so only a Bethesda veteran employee like him would really know

@@TrappedInFallout and to correct myself, I did end up getting acrobatics drops, I just never used them, I always went for something "better" stats wise like chameleon or cloaking (one of them is glitched causing you to have a permanent effect of it, which is actually really neat, wear it once, let it happen, take it off, boom instant free working and permanent stealth boy) weird glitch but totally worth keeping since you can replace it once it glitches and wear a different armor piece

Hi Jose, it most certainly sounds like you have some strange behaviour on your hands. When you get the pair, they should both look the same and once equiped you should not take any fall damage at all. If you do, I think it's an issue that's not normal. Have you tried to perhaps reload your game and see if it happens again? If yes then might be a glitch that you have somehow created, if not then a glitch in the system.

@@TrappedInFallout i mean i dont take fall damage when I equip it both. But both piece is not same to me, one is heavy and the other one is normal.

Yeah, it's virtually not accessible unless you ahvr Power Armor with a Jetpack and that's not easy to get at lower levels. Without wall climbing, it's just not possible really.

Good eye and a great question. I'll put my hand up, I'm not entirely sure. I have noticed the armor at times look a little different depending on what other gear I wear. So when I wear Vault armor, only the grieves portion of it is displayed. When I wear full combat armor, the entire boot is displayed. The thumbnail image specifically is from when I was wearing full combat armor.

@@adichong4416 I'm not totally sure, I believe so. I was trying this out yesterday with the synth armour and noticed the same thing. Good eye, never noticed that myself before. But that probably because I almost always play in the first person perspective.

@@TrappedInFallout i actually found out that the freefall legs have better quality like freefall legs ++ to an exemple when they have the kneepads and boots with the armor on default it's because there is a heavy quality of the armor

@@Burningsteel I totally agree and it's something I personally did not like. The unique effects don't feel anything special and you sort of go random legendary loot hunting which more or less defeats the purpose of collecting the unique weapons. The weapons themselfs also have a story behind them but again this becomes less valued as there is a genetic weapon on a roadroah that performs better. I mean, why would a Radroache be carrying a minimum that fire bullets which has impact damage. Sorry about the rant but being a seasoned collector of unique kit in Fallout games, it grinds me gears a little.
