About SIREN:
“Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove-a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

Ryn was trying to ask for help her people and Ryn's sister was dying, and her sister was hunting for food to stay alive, then the military is trying to experiment the project between sea creatures and human alike.

If I was ben and I realized that Ryn and her sister were starving out on the ocean feeding them would be my top priority you don't want to get in the way of a starving animal and its food especially one at the top of the food chain.

Terra messorem no there not this episode explains that the government is hiring fisherman to catch every single fish they can find. There starving them out on purpose, if they were left alone then they'd never hear from them again

I have no excuse for Donna beyond primal instinct, but as far as Ryn is concerned that guy wasn't just trying to kiss her he was trying to rape her. the police said after they found him that he had at least two sexual assault charges on his record.

donna was captured and tortured by humans where as ryn had people who cared for her only wanted to help, so i am sorry that her immediate reaction to them is to not trust them, and the fact that ryn chose some humans she meet less than 2 months ago over her sister should be the bigger problem but hey this is just my opinion.

Yogurt Phenomena ohh yea it was, as helen said ryn sided with ben and maddie than donna. Helen then proceeds to ask ryn if she had ever betrayed her like that before to which ryn replies no. So i think it's safe to say that she was choosing them over donna. Also by implying that ryn didn't know what she was doing your're dismissing her intelligence and you and i both know that ryn is highly intelligent, right

Again though, Ryn didn't see it that way...Ryn just saw it as her trying to keep Ben safe. She was constantly trying to get Donna to listen to her too, as afterward, she went to see Donna at Helen's and tried to apologize.

Tykeria Rattler I don't think she can't go back to water I mean she was starting to get dry , I think Helen has a big secret of why she keep living on land and doesn't go back to the ocean, my theory is that she has live a long time already in the land and she is now like a human so if she goes back to the water she wouldn't know how to hunt or how to live again in the water , similar to what happen to animal that lives in cautivery those animals can't go back to their normal habitat couse they don't know hot to hunt or how to survive by themselves

More than that. What Donna has been through was horrifying and given what we know now, it's more imperative that the overfishing to hunt their kind has to be stopped. However, Ben and Maddie have proven to Ryn that people do care and are working to stop (how do you think she feels after rescuing her sister?) Everyone wants peace and survival in both worlds, but Helen seems like she wants survival for HER people at ANY costs, which ultimately transforms her into a villain/antagonist

okay i hear you and i understand where you are coming from. However Ben and Maddie haven't proven shit to Donna, she doesn't owe them anything. Donna has not experienced what Ryn has so of course her reaction is going to be different. Secondly, Ryn didn't rescue her sister Donna saved herself and then got help from Chris the fact that she found her was pure luck, she could of saved her if Ben and Maddie weren't out here telling her no, but that's a story for another day. Thirdly, why shouldn't Helen want to make sure that her kind aren't slaughtered and or put in harms way again. Is that really such a bad thing and i think that you're downplaying the fact that a significant amount of sirens were killed for no reason at all, at the hands of Ben's ancestor and his friends. One of the main reasons Ben wanted to help was because he feels guilty about what his ancestors did to the sirens and he doesn't want it to happen again. So excuse Helen if she to wants to prevent that from repeating itself and will do anything to make sure it doesn't happen.

Yes the rescue part I was WAAAAAAAY over generalizing. However murder is unfit punishment for cruelty. That's one main difference how humans and predators are different. Some humans accept that death is a fact of life. We will all die one day no matter what we've done while alive. However repentance is much more elusive way to make others feel. It's more rewarding to make someone sorry than dead. An idea I hope Ben and Maddie teach later on.

so basically what i'm hearing is that you want Ben and Maddie to humanize Ryn. Ryn is a fish, she lives in the ocean and she is a predator and from what we have seen we can assume she is very high on the food chain, and she herself has said in the water it is kill or be killed and you want her to forget everything she knows to fit into a place that she might not stay more than 3 months in really dude, really. Plus that dude is a horrible human being he deserves to die also you think that guy is really sorry for what he has done. Sure he told Donna some half ass apologizes when she was in the tank but the fact that he is so hell bent on finding her and even made more tanks so that when he finds her he can go back performing those experiments on her which by extension is torture. Shows me that he doesn't really care about what he has done and that he's not really sorry, but aye agree to disagree

Nope...Ben. It was always Ben, as Ben was the First person who saw and helped her. Madie came along later. This recent episode proved it too, when Ben came by to apologize to Ryn for what he had said. That was some Deep chemistry going on there...in fact, they almost kissed, if Ben didn't ask Ryn to sing.
