I could be wrong, but some of these crashes appeared to be on shut down with the back of the car passing the front while braking. When I set the bias balance bar on my car, I was careful to set the rear where it had plenty of stopping pressure, but the front was set to skid. Setting the bias on a dirt or gravel road works pretty well. As far as the other comments here, I couldn't agree more to get out of it once you break traction. You certainly don't save the race, but you might just save your car.

I am SOO glad I retired from racing several moons ago. Because I would have puked nightly with all the silly turbochargers out there. If you can't make HP with a carburetor, just stay on the porch...

You do realize a supercharger is still forced induction and not NA as well right? Dragsters have been running around with superchargers for nearly 70 years and turbo chargers are also not a new thing both are pre WWII technology . Just coming off of sick week we are seeing street legal cars dipping into the 6s, I would have to check the math but I am fairly certain in order to get that kind of horsepower out of a NA engine it would literally be the size of a Volkswagen beetle , it would also get like 12 gallons to the mile.
