Amazing how Freeman Boats has progressed in the 5 years that I have followed them.Billy is doing a great job.

This 140 sec should be part of every boat test - run it to 1 mpg then top end. Good job FREEMAN - less is more in this case, no BS. By the way I've been watching your progress for a some years and it's good to see your hard work paid off. Came across an old THT thread where Billy was telling someone he was considering a stepped version of his hull - good stuff.

I watch plenty of these boat videos although I must say "Freeman Boatworks" show up in a major way on the water! Those boats instantly catch the eye.Awesome story behind the company also!

The twin 627's ran 78mph. Half the engines, maintenance etc.. is go 7 marine

CDM M merc 400's are 30-35,000 a piece and 627's are 88,000-90,000 a piece. this is msrp on both engine models... quite a substantial increase. honestly im more partial to 7marine. merc is so expensive

56 footer with quad merc verado 400r’s went 76 53 footer with quad 7 627’s went 73 908 hp advantage and still not as fast. 2 separate boats not a shootout yes but. There is a reason that Merc is #1 on the water. And plus it’s a gm engine they used, won’t be reliable in the long run cause is made to run in a car. Not on the water with a tranny from Zedef marine. And also, seven is partly founded by a MERCURY engineer. The genius that helped to create the Opti’s, the Verado‘ sand the Zeus Pod Drive. Merc is superior. #1 on the water always and forever

The 7Marine engines have a very intensive maintenance schedule EVERY 50 hours, that MUST be done by factory authorized technician. Not real convenient for out island/remote location operations...

You can flash the 400's to reduce the weight needed to get 425hp.

Great MPG but thought it should have been around 90 mph with 1600 hp in a 37 foot boat

airraptor perhaps 4 outboards cause too much drag and thats why it wouldnt hit 90 mph as expected

Yea a Fountain 38 with that power would've been in the 90's.

Quad 400's and only 83 mph.....Nor-tech 392 will be up at 93 mph...

Ahhh back in the good days when trump was in office and we could get fuel for 2$ a gallon. A lot easier on your pocket to let that baby eat

That's too fast and burning too much gas. My gatortail gets 17 mpg at a nice 20 cruise. We catch plenty reds ands specks just minutes from the boat launch.
