Hey here's a tip for flint lock to make it easyer: If you are 6 paces from an enemy the shot will always hit without needing to aim (use compass and a pole to test and get a feel for ur distance)

Ah, the good ol' days. The ship is actually customized, the pirate isn't dressed in that same pitch black tucker outfit everyone else wears, and the streamer is actually interacting with the game's content instead of just waiting for other people to do the work for him.

good skills, i had a similar thing today. a Crew sailed up to me both claiming they wanted an Alliance i was doing tall tales so i was like fair enough, then boom they killed me, 2hrs of hunting them down, first to admit i was not good enough to take them both on but been a stubborn MOFO paid off i kept going making sure they would achieve nothing while i was around until i got my apology hehe

I love how these dedicated crew players think solo sloops are easy targets. We play the game the hard way and acquire skill while few of them ever have to learn to play the game well because they always have numbers. Firebombs are my favorite goodies. The number of crews I have run into that cant put a fire out on their ships is astonishing. Somehow I can do it all by myself while multitasking on my sloop. Lately I like to cannon over to.their ships and tucc until they load up with loot. They watch my sloop sail on by in the distance without me while assuming there is no threat. Two days ago I hid on five ships without ever being noticed and managed to steal the best item every time. I even went back to one ship after hiding a chest I took from them so I could share the amazing roar of my farts with them while stealing another box. Their hot mic conversations were hilarious. They were all arguing about who was farting and where who put what loot that seemed to be missing. All crew players aren't without skill but the bulk are. Personally I think most crews are a joke but the game would be boring without them.

So I get it that pvp is one of the main cores of this game but look at a game like tf2. It at its core is a pvp game but it also allows for some very silly and funny stuff to occur. That's where tf2's magic is and that's one of the main reasons why its stuck around for so long(that and its trading community). SoT has that same quality to it. It's what can keep it alive. I'm not saying dont astral or loot or kill anybody. Just know when to have a bit of fun and mabey help a fellow crew out. It can create some really rare(get it) hilarious moments that keep this game alive

I'm not a PvPer on this game but I don't view attacking other ships as toxic, its part of the game. The part that's toxic is attacking someone who isn't fighting back. I've had sooooo many times where I'm solo slooping and a full brig or galleon pulls up and starts spawn killing me when I don't even have my weapons out and am not putting up a fight because I know I won't win because I'm on console with a controller. The reason I left this comment is because I noticed you talking about them being toxic and also I noticed that it seems you're newer to the game and I just wanted to put this here incase you saw it. BTW I'm not saying what these guys did is cool because it is pretty annoying to have to deal with a full galleon crew no matter the skill level, I'm just saying that its gonna happen because its how the game was made to be. Did they sound like they were Australian? I play solo because I have no mike and play on the Xbox1, and I am also fairly new to the game. I was attacked by a crew just like that. They first spotted me on the island and said "G'day mate" so I waved back and thought this was cool because I'm an Australian. Then they killed me calling me a fucking idiot and they stayed there so when I respawned they were there to kill me again. I had to just quit the game, they weren't going to let me respawn. It would be good if there was a way you could report people like that and get them banned from the game.
