I recently got back into sea of theives and I’ve been trying out tucking on ships and using kegs on them. So far I’ve been able to sink a sloop with an Athena emissary. Used a Athena mega keg to sink them and then killed them both. Would’ve been easily 40k gold but my parents made me get off to go to the store with them. Rip. Still fun though.

The last time I did FOTD, me, my friend, and two other open crew mates on a galleon went to Reapers since you can sell anything there. It didn't gave us much for the Athenan, it was like 6,000 coins but like 50 blaboons

When I was a noob, I put a keg beneath deck (because I thought that it wouldn’t be able to get hit) A skele ship spawned on me and I realised how wrong I was very quickly.

Here’s why people put kegs below deck. People do it so they can easily pick up a keg and drop it in the path of the enemy. It’ll be faster that way for obvious reasons. Sure it’s more risky but there will be a better chance of the enemy not noticing the keg/kegs in the water. Also many people will expect others to put kegs in the crows nest for again, obvious reasons.
